    Love your adventures! Don’t be afraid to post a RAW vid, start to finish. Even if it’s hours. With all the frustrations. Part 1, Part 2 if need be. I think viewers would totally appreciate how hard it really can be to set up everything. Thx for sharing my friend! …And try spray painting your weights bright orange. It’ll make a difference

      I completely completely completely agree💯 I always hope for the longer and more raw and detailed videos. The process is what contributes so much to making it such an adventure and art.
      Can't tell you how many times I immerse myself in these vids when I don't have the time to be in the trees myself.
      As always, love and appreciate your content ma dude 🙌🏼🤙🏼
      Stay safe 😎🤘

    I climb trees for my job and I always find it incredibly interesting the techniques and skills used by people who climb but are not necessarily arborists, I have yet to camp in a tree but I've been thinking about it for 3.5 years now since I started climbing! Thank you for the video!

    • @TheTreeCamper
      @TheTreeCamper  Před 7 měsíci

      Thank you for not bashing me like most arborists I hear from! I know it isn't as "safe" as using gear, but I accept and embrace the potential risk. I don't climb anything in not sure of.
      That being said, get out there! Use your gear and sleep in a tree! It'll change your life. They are of the most fascinating organisms on earth.

      @@TheTreeCamper Not here to bash only to spread knowledge and good vibes, Trust me we arborists think we know everything. I will say free climbing has a lot of potential risk so as you get older I'd suggest tying in more and more cause accidents do happen. I was super impressed with your method of getting a line into a tree. if you trust your gut while free climbing you are probably good. This video didn't have free climbing but I checked out your channel and you do it quite a bit. you do you. free climbing freaks me out lol! I just don't trust myself not to fall I guess. when you do use the gear I'd suggest an adjustable "buck strap" for when you get to the top, for a quick and easy tie-in, then you can reset your climb line as needed :) but this video is years old at this point maybe you already know.
      If you ever have questions about arborist climbing techniques like limb walking and srt ascent I have several videos that taught me, I can send your way!
      Again stay safe and have fun!

    Hey man could you possibly do like a video on all your gear you use for a tree camping trip! I am getting into this too! And I use a black diamond ATC device combined with a friction hitch and a sling for my accent and a black diamond 9.9 climbing rope. Been climbing for a while but just started to try out tree camping and it’s awesome so worth it in the end. Stay safe man! God bless.

    is that a guy with pink hair and helmet? nice place to be wish there was a place like that close to me also you can rig your ascender to be like a stop for when you are pulling up your bags and gear ropeman 1 with webbing or cord tied around a limb works great. Where in Tenn is that place just general area not specific

    At 5:25 in the video your grigri carabiner is side loaded make sure your minding your gear as that could be a fatal mistake

  • @tittyrino
    @tittyrino Před rokem +1

    I would use a hand ascender with a daisy chain above everything for a backup .No way I would go up on one ascender. I use an 11MM rope with a rope wrench and a hand ascender as backup.Rope walking with a SAKA and foot ascender makes the climb nice.Going tree camping in a Montth. Can't wait. People have no idea how awesome it is in the trees.Stay safe and have fun.
