Just got mine last week, ex demo car so got a great deal. It feels alot more speedy then the specs suggest. Screen is amazing compared to most cars.

Nice review Jim. I'd take Hyundai's reliability over soft trim (on others) but it is a shame they didn't use a bit of soft material here and there just to lift the cabin quality a little. The mild hybrid tech means the engine can be less stressed than some (who insist on squeezing every last drop of performance from such a small motor). I much prefer dct over CVT - the "elastic band" delivery and rather frought constant revving of a CVT can be a bit wearing at times.
I agree with all of that, the trim doesn’t feel cheap by the way, it feels good quality but not luxurious which, as you say, is a shame. It’s still a great car that I’d probably take over the vast majority of its rivals.
My youngest son has the previous model for the past 3 years, really good car , I’ve drove it a few times and his has less spec than this , I’m thinking of this or the Bayon as I’m the only person in my car now the kids are adults so I don’t need a big size family car , this has good reviews, great review by yourself too well presented 👍🏼

I’ve just ordered a Bayon (same car but taller!) and surprised about audio quality as the ultimate model has Bose sound system.

@@DefinitelyNotAGuru agree entirely, I hired a little fiesta to drive to Scotland a few years ago, I spent a lot of time driving transit vans and I couldn't believe how well it handled and how much fun it was ,
This little i20 has a lot to compete with,I'm sure it's as impressive by today's standards .thanks for your efforts 👍
@@jockster5525 I did about 100 miles on the motorway with this the other day and it was effortless driving. Brilliant for hacking around side streets and multi-storey carparks etc too!

Hyundai's don't seem that cheap anymore.
You can put a 5 years warranty on most cars for a few hundred so not sure it's worth it.
They're a cut above a lot of what is on offer these days. Those third party warranties are doggy-doo by the way.
Have you ever tried to claim on an after market car warranty? I've owned a Hyundai i30 a few years back, and the rear window demister packed in working at 4 years old. The dealer put a new rear screen in without so much as a moment's hesitation...
All cars seem to be expensive now.....

Can't see what you don't like.
It's no higher than the instrument cluster, doesn't obscure any view and is big enough for a chubby finger (as my glamorous assistant Jim demonstrated) to use and make sense of the map.
