@@ScotterzModelz I'm just starting my build of the Tamiya F4F and I'm glad I found yours.. always helps to have an excellent reference source and your video fits that bill perfectly. Thank you!
@@markfrommontana Thanks for the kind words! It really is a superb kit and a quick build. I love the pale blue paint scheme. Also watch those Tamiya decals - they tear easy.
Thanks for your comment! I used Flory Model Wash - Dark Dirt. It's wonderful stuff. It has a chalk base so after you lay down a gloss coat, just cover the model in the dark wash and then just wipe it off with a damp paper towel. The dark dirt gets into all the panel lines and rivets.
Thanks for your comment!! I used a Vallejo Light grey primer overall. Then Vallejo Model Air "Pale Blue" (#71.008) for the top and Vallejo Model Air USAF Light Grey (#71.276) for the underside. This is really a great kit, 2 sprues and the fit is perfect. The only negative is the decals. They are thick - so Micro Sol for sure and they will tear very easy, so apply with caution. The "damage" of the insignias on the fuselage were a happy accident when they tore as I was applying them.
Top notch!
Thank you!

Well done ! What did you use to give such depth to the rivets ?
