Ukraine forces destroy amphibious Russian tank with Spanish grenade launcher

- Ukrainian soldiers bomb a BMP-2 amphibious fighting vehicle following a Russian attempt to cross the Seversky Donets River.
Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) carried out the attack near the village of Dronivka in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk Oblast.
The Ukrainian military said they blasted the BMP-2 amphibious fighting vehicle with a Spanish Instalaza C90 shoulder-fired grenade launcher.
The Instalaza C90 weighs less than 5 kilogrammes and is considered one of the lightest launchers in its class.
Troops finished off the Russian BMP-2 after it was abandoned during an unsuccessful attempt to cross the river by the Russian Armed Forces.
As the BMP-2 still appeared to be in working order, a decision was taken to destroy the amphibious vehicle.
The Ukrainian Centre for Strategic Communications (StratCom) said on 25th May: “SSO fighters destroy the ruined BMP-2, which was abandoned during an attempt to cross the Seversky Donets River near Dronivka.
“Shots were fired from the Spanish grenade launcher Instalaza C90.”
In other developments, Ukrainian officials said Russian forces have attacked over 40 towns in the eastern Donbas region.
They added that five civilians died, 12 were wounded and 47 civilian sites were destroyed or damaged in the latest attacks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that makes it easier for Ukrainians in occupied areas to become citizens of Russia.
Russia has also done away with the upper age limit for contractual service in its military.
Ukraine has called Russia's offer to lift the blockade of its Black Sea ports in return for the lifting of some sanctions "blackmail".
The blockade has led to shortages in wheat and cooking oil across the world.

Some said it is cheap and not as glamourous as nlaw, karl gustafs etc but it is incredibly very light weighted, so you can carry 3 or 4 per soldier, very easy to use, only 3 steps, you can fire some of them from buildings and rooms, finally I fired it to some objetives at almost 300 metres, not easy but possible and they are so cheap that it worths to fire two of them at the same time on a very heavy but valuable objetives from different places to make enemy ambushed confuse. You fire and leave the launcher when empty, no need to carry it. I hope it will help you very good to defend your homeland. Fuerza Ucrania.

This Ukrainian army runs from the encirclement from the city of Liman. It was captured by the Russians in just 2 days. Since Ukraine blew up all the bridges, they are forced to run in this way. And I wake up thinking that I hope that is true. It would be really nice if it were true for ALL of them, in a day or a weeks time. A tank has been one of the LAST places you want to be in a battlefield for decades now.
Similar to the German U-boats at the start of WWII, where the crews were virtually impervious, unlike near end of the war, where when they left port they had about a 50% chance of returning alive. Submarine warfare went from about zero to about 50 very quickly in that war. Aircraft sub chasers, depth charges, etc really honed that operation.
Since Copperhead and very efficient airborne tank busters like the A10, tanks have been the WRONG place to be. They've tried to retire that A10 more than once, IIRC, and they keep rejecting that idea because that aircraft is SO good at that mission. Systems like Apache Longbow are also deadly to tanks, and not necessarily one at a time, ten can be neutralized simultaneously with that system, even if the Longbow outfitted chopper is carrying no weapons, as it can hand off targets to non Longbow equipped helicopters in the area.
Rooski is always doing anything they can to creatively increase the size of their submariner fleet.
This is bad news for the international scientific community, soon the Russians will be the world's experts on the feeding habits of catfish at the bottom of the Donetsk River basin. A shame. :)

Stealing anything of value and being drunk all the time. And their refusal to engage the Ukrainian army in head to head fire fights. But, we have a few more systems we want to test before we let the Ukrainian’s crush the Russians.

Ukraine was getting weapons from NATO since August 2021, when Zelenskybro invited them in. They have been sending BILLIONS in weapons and tech, because war is profit. Those SAME nato rockets were being used since August 2021 to January 2022 to kill their own people in the East, not Russians, but people who want to seperate from the tyranny and nationalist Azov and Ukrainian government. It's about identity and culture, that's why the Seperatists fight even harder than the Ukrainians or Russians and have been for over 14 years.
Russia, invaded in part because of this, but also the greater threat of NATO on it's borders. It has been warning, and preparing, for this since March/April 2021, when it started hording gold buillion and beefing up it's border troops. No one cannot say that Russia explicitly said they would invade if their security concerns were not addressed. I recall many NATO countries switching off or taking off their headphones, literally not listening to the Russians, even walking out on security meetings.. goes to show.
Alas, here we are - and the ones who will be sacrificed for NATO's goal of Russian domination(for Energy) is the Ukrainians, who will be sacrificed in the proxy war.

Those T-62 tanks can actually cross a river on the bottom, completely submerged except for a snorkel, thus negating the need for a pontoon bridge. That might be the intention of shipping them to Ukraine, for an armored river crossing to secure the other side before building a pontoon bridge. I don't think that the T-72 has that capability. Of course I'm sure all the seals and waterproofing has to be well maintained for the crew to survive.

Wow! Those amphibious Russian tanks are incredibly nimble. I was surprised that the were able to get a bead on the thing with the way it moves.😲
They really are incredible. They go on land, water and now underwater!
Amphibious is not the only multipurpose aspect of these things. They can also go from being an intact armored fighting vehicle to a fully preheated mobile pressure cooker for the division's field kitchen with very little effort.
