    excellent my friend glad to be a part of the team and a new artist with the company. Thanks to your help.

    One issue I'd like to see addressed is the straight plug on the IEC cable. This can be a big limitation for where a power supply can go, so I urge Templeboards to offer the option to have a right angle IEC plug.
    The common issue with the tiny screws for the IEC port is concerning, too. I've read that a couple people drilled out the holes and used pass through bolts with nuts to hold them in place. For a component that will be used on every gig, the power plug port needs to be very secure.

    Bought one of these and I've spent the last hour and a half trying to get the screws in. Once I do, it just falls out 2 minutes later. The concept of Templeboards sold me, but after using my board for 2 years, I've moved back to velcro (because, you know, it actually keeps your pedals on your board, and velcro doesn't cost the amount of your first-born child), and, after picking up this ridiculously expensive plug, I'm about ready to throw my board straight in the garbage.
    Doesn't matter though - Templeboard will never see this because they don't respond to social media and have awful customer service. As long as they're still selling boards, they don't care.

    Just ordered my Trio 28, soft case, and about 13 large pedal pads and next payday this is the last piece to the puzzle. Awesome pedal board!!!

    Two things: First, thank goodness you included the alternate method of removing the end cap. It is nearly impossible to get that back screw in otherwise. The second is that the design of the end cap makes it very difficult to remove and reinsert the the handle screws without either stripping the screw heads or cross threading them back into the handle. Very nearly ruined them doing this. Had to carefully insert them by reverse rotating the screw until it "found" the thread and then very carefully screwing them back in.

    Just got this board. I was so excited when I ordered it from Sweetwater. When it came, I was like WTF is with the screws, way too short. I had to totally remove the side to get to the screw threads to install the IEC input and patch bay modules. OK, little unpractical but since I usually build my boards from scratch, not that big a deal. However, if you aren't careful, the screws are so short you can strip them very easily trying to get them to catch the threads so beware. My second beef is that the top of the board is too thin and flimsy. When you push down on your pedals, especially a wah pedal, the whole board bends and flexes under my foot. Definitely don't like that undesirable feature. However, I. like this board design. Especially with the side modules for power and cable inputs. I might even buy another different longer size and maybe add my own plank of choice plywood to strengthen the board top, and get slightly longer screws with the same threads for the modules. Great design but unfortunately needs to be tweaked by R and D a little bit more. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. By the way, if anyone builds their own boards, stick to it and build the one you have in your head. I've been doing it for years and nothing beats building something the way you want it instead of settling for something that is just good enough. I'm going to finish the board I was building before I ordered this one. Uh, so confused.....

    Hey not trying to justify the shortcomings of this mod which Temple should definitely address.... but it took me less than 5 minutes to install by taking off the end cap.

    It would be so cool if the video quality would be on the same level as your boards!
    Background hum and not focused lenses shouldn't be your standard!

  • @jez443
    @jez443 Před 8 lety +5

    I did this exact method and when I went to put my power cable in, the whole module got pushed out and now the screws are stripped and I can't reinstall it. The screws are so tiny that they couldn't withstand just a little force, which if you know, those IEC plugs need a little force to be plugged in. I think you all could have designed this a lot better. Also the bracket mount that goes on the bottom of the board for the power supply is too short and I could only screw in one side of it because the other wouldn't reach. Just wanted to give a heads up.

      Watch the video on the mounting bracket installation. Cas uses a clamp to squeeze the front to the bracket while he drills the end.

    question I want to get the IEC mod, but I want to have a LED light on the board and lights up when the power switch rocker is turned on? Can you help me with complete info on this task or if you have a youtube link of a video showing what to do would be cool.

    It’s expensive, really difficult to install, and it’s too short to connect to my power supply. I wish there were a couple other options for this one. Cable length options and a right angle option.

    • @templeboards
      @templeboards  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks for the feedback. One option is to use an IEC adapter to get a little more length and the right angle.

    Can I install a VooDoo Lab Pedal Power 2 plus into this pedalboard?

      Yes, it will mount great under the board with either a couple of Medium Quick Release Pedal Plates or our Voodoo Lab Mounting Kit.

      @@andywildrick good to hear! I have another temple and had no problems assembling. But I lost the longer white screws for the IEC, so I wrote to support asking for replacements. I love Temple design.

    the screws are not loose like this, I have been trying to use that screw for thirty minutes and there is no way I will do this without a drill. Too bad a drill will definitely not reach that tight of a spot.

    I don't know if I've ever experienced a more infuriating installation. I can't remove the side panel because the handle screws are on so ridiculously tight and the lip of the panel causes the driver to be at an angle, so it's not turning and just stripping more and more every attempt. Because of this, my only option is try to install the module in situ, but getting in this tiny gap between the body of the plug and the back wall is maddening. The magnetic tip of the supplied screwdriver pulls the screw out of the hole every time I try to line it up to drive it in.

    I purchased one of these boards for my son to simplify his gigging . . The modular concept is a good idea but the practicality of this module is not. In the first instance the end panel really must be removed to have any success, the second factor is that the screws are too small/short and the thread depth/size in the end panel shows to be too weak/flimsy for roadwork.
    There is very little grip for the screws and I expect that after a couple of gigs my boy will find that the pressure required to push in those Kettle Plugs will pop the module out of the end panel ! An idea under-engineered and I anticipate a back to base to fit some Bolts and Locking Nuts.
    A good concept poorly executed ! Bad job boys !

  • @arfcorps
    @arfcorps Před 6 lety

    Guys, please fix the screws, you're charging $50 for what is a "bespoke" power connector for your pedal board, we shouldn't have to Dremel / risk damaging our boards to install. I doubt this connector is going to last. Frustrating install, questionable robustness, the only thing substantial about this connector is its cost.

  • @greg8706
    @greg8706 Před 7 lety

    I agree the IEC concept is good but does not your. I have 2 and both will not hold against the board after a few uses. This is due to very poor design. Complete waste of money for $50 a module.
