I couldn't believe me eyes when I saw this title. Hari TOGETHER WITH bell hooks??? 🤯🤯🤯 I've never clicked so fast!
+1 SAME
And CZcams just recommended it to me out of nowhere right now like??
So much fun to see Hari flustered and blushing!
Really enjoyed the talk! Made me think about so many many different things
RIP Mama.
18:20 Finally they start chatting...longest intro ever like wtf
I love this so much. I'm ashamed that I never heard of Bell Hooks until now. Also it is really cool seeing Hari in awe of her. Really looking forward to seeing his show.
Please don’t be ashamed, be glad you found her. I only found her after I saw an article about her death. It made me sad but her message will live forever. I want to read all her books.
"she embodies the very best of imperialist white supremacist capitalist patriarchy"
I can't tell if that's damning with faint praise or not
"Educating beyond the academy". YES! THANK you.
this gave me life.
I'll have to relisten to this a ton to really engage substantively. But I just wanted to say that Hari handled the Aziz Ansari question PERFECTLY. @1:08:45
thx for audio fix and link
Wow. LONGEST INTRO EVER. Eighteen whole minutes of intro. This is a great lesson in presenting - keep the intros short and sweet.
Jo'Ann Dela Cruz hmm yup.
Hmm nice
The guy with with the question Supreme is Rep. Gwen Moore's son!
they handed him a pizza 17:40 and then they start haha
Thanks. I just came for Hari.
I love bell but boy she doesn’t leave much room for the other person
@9:00 shitthatdidn'thappen.mp4
I find it weird when a white girl says, "Shout out to...."
Why?
A Black woman serving the Pizza & drinks while white women entertain at their house? That rubbed me the wrong way. Apart from that great exchange between the two.
Darn Bell will you let Hari Talk? Total one jealous thing about her books.
Hari you didnt have any Indian star growing up because till 90s Indian population was miniscule and all Indian parents actively stopped it from happening and herded their kids into stem jobs. And theres nothing wrong with a white person doing Appu voice because Indian Americans have equally bad Indian accents.
I think there might be some truth in this
Hank Azaria was really brought up short about the criticism of his doing Ali’s voice and paid attention, responded respectfully and appropriately ❤
