At some point Injustice Superman seems like a reasonable reaction to Joker.
If you read Injustice up to when he kills Joker and then stopped reading and pretended that Superman killing the Joker was a one off issue
Honestly I don't know why the IJ story has to portray Superman as a villain. Sure he had bad execution but he made Batman and a lot of other heroes job much easier therefore scaring off any potential threats that decide to rule the world or cause misery

I like that Superman changes his mind when he’s about to reluctantly depower David. Any other character would have done things exactly how Superman was about to *just* so the other person becomes the villain later. But not Superman. It’s out of character for him to not be hopeful and give up on continuing to try, to be better and help them be better.
And apparently, David is destined to become a villain from Kingdom Come. But can the future be changed? Can they save him from his inner demons?
Nice to see the joker get his teeth kicked in for once. I swear writer's give him too much plot armor.

Loved how this story included the original Teen Titans' incarnation, which only true men of culture remember and appreciate. Damn, what beautiful times when Dick was the adorable and funny boy wonder, Donna Troy the gorgeous and brave wonder girl whose attention her male peers competed for, Wally West the charming and happy Kid Flash, Roy Harper the innocent Speedy guy without negative thoughts, and Aqualad...a member.

Taking away David's power for simply burning someone's hands (especially the Joker) is a MASSIVE overreaction. Batman,Robin,Superman regularly break bones and skin and that's perfectly fine? That's bullshit. Even if it was done out of anger the fact that he COULD have killed Joker, but restrained himself shows he WAS practicing restraint.
Well the story was set just a few years into superman and batmans careers according to Wikipedia so it would explain why superman batman and the titans were idioticly naive about the situation plus he only took his anger out on anyone harming him or the titans which is pretty hipercrital of them considering superman batman and the titans all eventually went through there own personal issues whether it was some of the titans leaving there side kick identities behind for wanting to be recognized as there own heros and or they quit to just getting plain up fired because there personal problems got in the way of being heros in general, but like i said it was set in there early years if there superhero careers so i don't think they knew what david was going through until they went through it themselves dumb as it may sound.👋😒

Making this a prequel is one way to write David into the larger setting of DC, even though it's a bit of a faraway corner. This also explains why the Fab Five are running around.

Yeah tell me about it when i first worlds finest run it so mad how mistreated they mistreated him between restricting him from trying to connect with an alternate version of his parents who lost there david when was 3 to constantly focusing on his superhero career instead of giving him some stability of a normal life and help with his trauma,heck he didn't even know any of the heros identities out of there costumes not even superman's seriously he couldn't even think about having a normal day with a David and introduce him to his parents i batman practically advised him to treat him like a son yet treat him like a troubled super powered juvenile going through community service that he simpathiesd with even though the difference is that superman was a baby when krypton was destroyed he never knew his parents unlike David who lost his parents when he was in his mid-teens i mean the only reason they didn't gie David the help he needed was because superman want to pass his morality to David have be his legacy that and partly because he pity him,but all an all they just didn't care enough in the end.😔

There actually was a comic were manhunter did try I can't remember the entire situation but what happen was when joker stole some dangerous object and the joker was going to use it to destroy a city they were able to stop him but then the justified league realize how big of a threat he was and had man hunter try to cure him but his mind was to chaotic and they simply deemed him a lost cause,at least that's how I remember it👋🙄

Conner was an entirely different story.
Conner was a teenager clone dropped into his lap that everyone just expected to be treated like his son, Superman didn't do anything to bring him into the world, not even forget to wear a condom while sleeping with Lois.
A literal cabal of evil scientists made Conner to kill him.
While I don't think Superman keeping Superboy at arms length was handled the best in Young Justice (mostly because it was resolved off screen) I do think Clark was completely within his right to not accept Conner as his son.

Learning the Magog tie-in was very bad. It feels so pointless and desperate to tie it in so people will actually care. The only issue is it feels so cheap it makes Kingdom Come worse via the unnecessary connection IMO.

I don’t like this storyline. It foreshadows and cheapens what happens to Jason Todd. Not to mention that it makes Batman even more incompetent looking by letting another sidekick fall into the jokers hands. Also the use of the crowbar is just, meh.
You have to understand Batman's always been incompetent. I mean, even if you subtract this from the equation, there's still Barbara Gordon. They're still Is damian wayne And alfred pennyworth. We're talking about a guy who's so incompetent he let And in the same clown, tie his entire family to chairs. Make them think they were about to eat their own faces and then die next to him. Is buried under stellag tight.

I like what this story does for Superman. It really humanises him to know that in his inexperience he did make mistakes as David's mentor, when he is on the verge of losing his temper whenever David almost kills. The way I interpret this, Superman is just making the classic inexperienced mentor mistake of trying to hold your protege to the same standards as yourself, so when David almost kills in anger Superman gets mad as if HE was the one who almost killed in anger. But what makes Superman Superman is that despite all that, he never stops trying to be a better mentor for David's sake. He listens to others' advice, seeks out their experience and lessons and tries to communicate openly as best he can with David in every turn. At the end, he finally drops those standards and meets David where he is and is finally the mentor David needs him to be... just moments too late.
It's a beautiful tragedy.
Though for context I only know of this story from these two videos with no context of what storylines come before or after this, so I'm talking about this story in a vacuum. If there's context that contradicts the characterisation here then that sucks, but it doesn't factor into my current appreciation of this story.

David should not have received a modicum of criticism for attacking the Joker after what he might have experienced from their perspective. Even if you brush off his physical injuries, we don't even have a complete picture of the emotional trauma Joker unleashed on him. And based on everyone's reaction, no else seemed to care enough to ask.
Saving the Joker from his rage is one thing. Punishing him for being justifiably enraged by being TORTURED is just moronic.
