The idea of Jing King being a great ally sounds interesting. Might be possible.
General Tsao forcing Jing King into marriage is an horrible move General Tsao made. When it comes to relationships with people general, you need to get to know them first while developing relationships. If Jing King were to appear in Sly 5, hopefully showing her physical appearance, she would help Bentley, Murray, and Carmelita search for Sly and as the game progresses, she would also meet a man that cares about Jing King and Jing King would take the opportunity to get to know that man.

@@VtnVivi I found an old video of yours about the idea that if Clockwerk ever returned, he would go after the Panda King and kill him given he and Sly are close now. That could be another reason for Jing to join the Cooper gang, as she seeks justice for her father or to save him if Clockwerk just captured him to use in his latest plan.

Sly 2 and 3 has the tendency to not create more designs than necessary. You have the villain and the goons. Nothing more. You can see it in some cases where when they refer to a special group, its the same exact enemies you find in that episode.

I had never thought of this type of scenario before, but I think it’s absolutely brilliant! I would especially love to see that conversation between her and Carmelita. If she shared about the past between Sly Cooper and the Panda King, it would not only be interesting to hear about her struggle of finding out who her father was, but it would also be cool to see Carmelita find out more about Sly’s past too. If you think about it, Carmelita doesn’t really know about Cooper’s story. All she knows is that he was a master thief that she had to catch at one time, and was led to believe that he lost his memory for a while. But with “losing his memory”, he had to put on an act for her during that time, and he would never of had the chance to tell her about his past because of it. To find out through someone else I think would be really eye-opening for Carmelita, and maybe even deepen her bond with Sly.

This is definitely an interesting idea. I never really thought much of Jing King as a character. More so as a plot device to serve the story in a cold alliance. I would really like to see her character fleshed out if another game ever comes out at all.

A Cold Alliance from Sly 3 was one of my favorite episodes from the series! It had great character development and is in general, one of the main reasons why Sly 3 is one of my absolute favorite games of all-time.
This is a great concept and I like your thought process in hypothetical storytelling, how you weave the web. When you brought up a discussion with Panda and Carmelita, I think that could be an incredible piece of plotline. A moment of great closure and reconcile between the two, finally getting to catch up after the chaotic pace of the happenings in Sly 3.
Carmelita speaks frankly about the atrocities of burying villages in snow, while acknowledging that Panda changed a lot and was a critical part of the team's success in Sly 3.
Panda would appreciate her recognition of his reformed lifestyle, and says he can't change the past, but is committed to living better now and in the future. Panda then inquisitively counters with something like "For as upstanding an officer of law as you are, your ongoing affiliation with that, albeit cunning, law-bending raccoon... There appears to be a.. conflict of interest."
Carmelita pauses and meekly replies, "..There is."
A bit longwinded, I let my mind wander lol but I could just see it being an awesome saga-tying bit of closure between those two. Cheers bud

I’m beyond hyped for final fantasy 7 rebirth too. The franchise is at an all time high now as far as I’m concerned.
I read a fan description jingking had a bigger role and panda king would give murray his blessings being that as fan made I respectfully don't see that. But I can say she was little as the cooper gang same age as her dad killed sly's dad. We need a sequel to show her potential to everyone.
in the gritty alternate sly universe the remaining fiendish 5 members find out Panda King is working with sly and assemble a group to hunt him down eventually killing him and that leading to Jing King searching for sly to help her get her revenge but he is still stuck in Egypt. Also she meets Penelope along the way and she has her mini redemption arc ending up with her begging for forgiveness and being the one to find Sly
I've wondered about something like this but with Clockwerk... How would he feel (if brought back) knowing that the Panda King turned his back?
It would be a fascinating callback to see Jing King return, I’d like to imagine her wielding a bo or 3 section staff or maybe she perfected her father’s flame fu but attacks in a much more rapid style like a flurry of blows, delving deeper into the characters could really enrich the lore of the series further… There are so many avenues they could go down to expand on characters or introduce new ones, for instance I’d love to see if there’s a rival gang that the Cooper gang has to keep one step ahead of or imagine if the main cop who used to hunt down Sly’s father was reintroduced like they come out of retirement and we find out they’re Carmelita’s mentor 🤔

Well I had this concept for Sly 5 where Carmelita would be put in a conflicting situation where her love of Interpol/police work versus her newfound loyalty to Sly and the gang would be sorely tested if her mentor came out of retirement to help stop a new crime wave and she’s under their constant scrutiny, trying to covertly help out the gang whilst doing her job and not raising her mentor’s suspicions, having the mentor be the one who previously locked horns with Sly’s father and his crew would just be the icing on the cake… This could tie into Sly having a new rival, after all surely the Cooper Gang aren’t the only band of world-class thieves/vigilantes out there, perhaps these rivals might be behind a new crime wave that brings Carmelita’s mentor out of retirement, trying to prove they’re the best in the business and wipe out their competition like Sly’s gang in the process 🤔
I always assumed her and what her father had was a forgiving yet slow bonding kind of relationship for what he's done while trying to live a humble life despite his hatred for Sly still burning. With her being the last good thing he's made and to not let her down in being the father he wasn't(maybe since the relationship was simple Father Daughter rescuing).
Perhaps guru can teach her some spells. It would be nice to have more mystical abilities introduced in the games.
Here's a potential scenario, the gang tries to find Sly through Guru's mysticism but since Sly is lost through both time and space Guru can't find him without some help and the only other powerful mystic in the series is Mrs. Ruby but obviously she wouldnt help out for free, in order to get her help the gang will have to bust her out of interpol which wont be easy so they'll get some help which will bring them to China, they'll ask PK to help but he'll probably refuse not trusting any of the surviving members of the five but JK may be convinced to secretly come and help the gang, in this scenario we could get to see another member of the five we havent seen much of since the 1st game and some potential interactions between members of the fiendish five as I'd imagine it wouldn't take PK long to figure out where his daughter ran off to.

I have noticed that Panda King's "Flame Fu" is similar to Murray's "Fists of Flame". It would be interesting if Panda King noticed this and, in an attempt at lighthearted humor, told Murray that he will allow him to marry his daughter.
Jing King being the daughter of a demolitions expert who becomes an archer as a playable character is interesting. According to the "Timeline of the gunpowder age" (which I discovered while wondering about how firearms would exist in the pseudo-medieval world of D&D), "fire-arrows" (火箭 huǒjiàn) are normal arrows equipped with small pouches of gunpowder, similar to the grenade arrows of "Rambo III".
Given the food-related names of Panda King's minions in the first game (General Tso the Gorilla, Kung Pao the Mandrill, Chow Mei the Chimpanzee, and Moo Goo and Won Ton the Monkeys), I wondered if "Jing King" was in any way food related. Not Officially, but I found "jingking" as the Indonesian name for Kuhl's ghost crab (Ocypode kuhlii).
Maybe in the new game they will show Jing king her having a ancient artifact that the gang need to travel back in time that would be a cool story

I think Jing King would want to follow her father's footsteps but in a better way. Panda King will train her in martial arts and she becomes just as strong as her father. She also overcomes her trauma and helps Sly. She earns a spot in the Cooper gang.
I’m really starting to like Zidane from final fantasy 9. I really hope the game gets a remake one day but I don’t think it’ll happen until after the remakes of both 7 and possibly 8 are full complete. Do you agree too?
Nickelodeon all star brawl looks so good I think. A lot better than the first game which I thought was pretty lacklustre at best. I’m glad they’re adding in a proper story mode with Vlad from Danny Phantom as the main villain which was solely lacking from the first game too. What are you thoughts on it, Vivi?
I love the guru. Very underrated character I think. Basically the only one in the series seen wearing a nappy. I know it’s meant to be more of a loincloth anyway but they’re all very similar am I right? Or diaper for the American audience.

I still can’t get over how good a cold alliance in general. It’s even more episode than the final episode honour among thieves which is saying a lot. Dr M was nothing compared to General Tsao as far as I’m concerned am I right?
I always loved how we faced Tsao mid-episode, a change of pace that was.

I can shed a little light on the cultural reference aspect of why we never see her face.
It’s a nod to geisha culture.
Geisha’s, and high ranking geisha, we’re given the honor of only having themselves ever be seen by extremely high status individuals within that community.
Some geisha had some much renown that they were given castles that they never had the permission to leave due to an effort to add more value to there presence, attention and appearance.
That’s why sly and any other characters not seen as royalty never laid eyes on her, it’s actually forbidden. This explains why panda king and the general are essentially the only people we know to have ever saw her face in the series.
Interesting point! A ''royalty'' storyline would surely add more depth to Jing.

Hey Vivi, when is the next time you think we’ll see another trailer for kingdom hearts 4? Personally I don’t expect it to come out until 2025 at the earliest roughly. Maybe 2026 but I doubt 2024 at this point. Otherwise we would’ve seen more footage for the game. Apparently the next time we see footage for the game, it’ll be completely different to what we saw at the 20th anniversary celebration too. I’m really intrigued about that prospect.

I think we're looking at 2024 at this point (new footage). Heck Missing-Link appears to be ''missing'' as of late. In terms of visuals and gameplay, naturally it will change or get tweaked.

Sly Cooper 3 Honor among thieves is awesome Sly game and one of best memories of my childhood. China is nice place and Tsao is cool boss defienirily it's bossfight is awesome and it was so nice to see Murray's caragain. Jing King is mysterious character in my openion too. 😮
I think in sly 5 they will reveal that Jing King is not Panda Kings daughter, but actually the long lost daughter of Martin Luther King Jr.
That’s why they don’t show what she looks like.
I think Panda King took her in because he was very sympathetic to the civil rights movement, because he’s a panda (black and white).
