Hey Matt, any plans on the Europe map returning? I think you have already mastered this one.

hate taking vancouver to duluth. would much prefer the new york to miami route especially when i'm in both la and vegas and already have to get into washington and have two pink in hand. also considering your hand, going through helena and seattle to get to portland was easier than portland to slc (or even helena to clagary to seattle to portland (which is where maybe calgary to nashville is worth keeping as you end up with a route pretty close to having that done too).

Havent got all the way thru yet, but in the later game, instead of blue hunting for Portland to SLC, any thought of using the pink and yellow to go thru Helena to Seattle?

yup. definitely made more sense than blue hunting. also opens up taking helena to duluth and the 15 points that go with it.

Please stop drawing off the top when you only need one or two colors and there’s a wild on board. You average less than one useful card per turn when pulling off the top when you only care about 2 colors. It’s only about even if you care about 3.

drawing cards late game is mostly about having awareness of what people have in hand. with none of the major blue routes claimed and red taking a blue you should be aware it's more likely players have blues in their hand than there are blue in the deck which is why going through helena makes more sense than freely burning those cards going to slc to denver and up to duluth. matt calls it unlucky, but it's really game awareness. if matt just took off board he has the opportunity to get 3 pink and 6 yellow with three routes out of helena and two out of slc to hook everything up (admittedly one of them also using yellow which he takes prematurely, but two of them using red which is another color he burns too cheaply going seattle to portland).

@@wfchannel4673 I agree with everything you've said, but I'll add this.
What I originally said about the the rule of two colors is based on the average scenario. Essentially you're assuming that the cards in other people's hands are random, which is of course not true.
Most of the time, if you are struggling to get a color "on board" its because both you and your opponents have a significant portion of the supply in hand. This skews it even further towards take the wild on board.
Or, as you said, you could/should reroute.
