- Are you often stuck in your toddler’s room at bedtime? Here are some sleep training tips to get you UNstuck.
Most of us have been here before… The bedtime routine is over but your child wants you to stay in their room. They don’t want you to leave. They don’t want to be alone.
Maybe they’re having a little separation anxiety… maybe they’re in a new big kid bed that feels unfamiliar or maybe there’s no rhyme or reason - they just want you to stay.
If you are consistently staying with your child while they fall asleep, this actually makes it harder for kids to get to sleep.
Help you and your child get more sleep by watching this video.

Thanks for the video! We came looking for something because our three year old now cries for us at night time.
So glad it's helpful for you!
My daughter is 32 months old and we did the chair method when she was around 1 year old. Since then she had been sleeping independently...until now. She now stalls bedtime, asks for 500 books, and then wails and wails and screams if we leave. We don't know what to do!! The leave part is the hard one. My husband gives in and stays with her but I hate it, I know she's getting used to that😢
You and your husband should chat and get on the same page so you're responding in the same way. You can always go back and try what worked when she was younger. I recommend you join my Toddler Sleep Masterclass if you need some more help. The link is in the notes.
@@toddlersleeptrainingwe're on the same note now but she won't accept that we leave her room. Right now she's crying histerically even if she knows we're in the next room and we have gone a couple of times to tell her we love her and good night😢
@@franug unfortunately this isn't very uncommon! This is exactly the type of thing that I help families solve.
