Installing Flooring & Drawers In Our Truck Camper

- In this video Daniel and I get back working on the truck camper conversion. After putting in the framing the next step was to put in some flooring! We selected some flooring and got to work putting it in! For some reason everything in the build takes WAY longer than expected so after a lot of difficulty we enlisted the help of Daniel's dad to get the flooring finished. After the flooring was put in the truck was a big mess from cutting the flooring so we vacuumed out the area and got ready for our next project; the drawers! The drawers were a bit of a daunting task because we had never built one before and if we had to get the measurements exactly right for the drawers to fit and open. It took a lot of work but they fit and open! With the drawers on we were able to start trimming and fitting the bed platform. This was a super exciting step because we were finally able to put in all the wood platforms for our bed up to see how it would look when our bed is made. We were both pleasantly surprised with how much room we would have from our bed. Our next step was hinging the diesel heater area so that we would be able to access that area whenever we need to. We also cut out a small section near the back wheel well so that we could utilize as much space as possible and make a little cubby there. To allow for easy access to the cubby we cut a little hole in the top so it would be easier to open. It was a super productive time where we got a ton done! The build is really coming along now! This is too late for you guys, but if you score the flooring with a box cutter, it snaps in two very easily.
I didn’t really think to snap it, we tried to cut it with a box cutter but it was too hard to get through. Thank you!
