1) aquarium dimensions 3ft x 1.5 ft x 1 ft (L x W x D)
2) Water 30 gallon
3) Hang on back filter with 500 lit/hr capacity
4) Api bio filteration media
5) substrate medium gravel with dark colour
**Fish preference**
1) top level - Dwarf gourami 1 male 3 female
2) mid level - amber tetra x 6 or lemon tetra x6 and neon tetra x 6
3) bottom level - bristlenose pleco x 3 or kuhli loach x 6
4) invertebrates - mystry snail
** plant preference**
1) amazon sword
2) Java fern
3) cryptocoryne
Question 1 : In Your one video u tell that nitrogen cycle and regular water change is important. So when i put my new tank for cycling then also water can be changed?? Or it will applicable after fish set up??
Question 2 : I will use borewell water. When i regular change water should i need tho treat the water before?? I need to filter this or not.. only check the para meter with test strip and put it on the aquarium?? Or i need to purchase a other tank and filter run the same cycle into the second tank then only put the water into 1st aquarium?
Question 3 - If i run the cycle in blank new aquarium then how to add gravels in to that?? Or put gravel first then run the cycle??
Question 4 - do i need to purchase 2nd setup for fish quarantine purpose?? Or cycled water from my mother tank is enough with api nutri plus??
Plz sir reply me to solve my confusion.. and also verify my fish and plant preference.. thank you in advance❤.
Change Hangon Back to canister
Make sure substrate is not a silicate sand
1. yes water can be changed and about 20%
2. Test the water PH and hardness, use a meter and then decide
3. gravel first
4. a small hospital tank will help

I have an open fishpond ( in my covered house lobby, in the ground 5 X6ft & 2 feet deep ) I have a normal filter but require your advice :-
1) What kind of filter
2) Cleaning should be done weekly or monthly
3) Siphon available in the market do not suck the poop out because of anti gravity
4) Water heater with thermostat is not available on internet or my local market, any site to buy all these things from ?
5) how often to clean water form fishbowl for betta fish

Like you said best way to start Aquarium is with small tank like 10 gallons (37 liters) and basic knowledge on which fish you want things like what you need to keep fish alive food and nitrate heavy metals chlorine removal your water shouldn’t smell at all if it smell do least 80% water change and choose right fish don’t bring like big fish in baby size and also there are lots of fish which will remove plants from where you plant or they actually eat plants and feeding too much will cause problems don’t feed anything which your fish can’t finish it in between 1-2 minutes if they aren’t eating than they are not doing well depends on how tank is going and do remove dead leaf. start with too many plants you can’t put enough plants and give about 6-8 hours light for plants fish don’t care about light it’s for plants and too many hours with lights on will start algae problems possible there will be algae too but if you change water like 50% every once a week you and your fish will be fine

Hello Mr. Dev first of all, i love your video's they are very knowledgeable.
My Question is i made an aqurium 5x2x2 feet with 8mm glass and after filling water till 4 inch less from the top. Both horizontal braces of 6mm cracked. What can i do now Sir?
Should i put vertical 3 braces of 8mm.
Pls help....
firstly 8mm for a 5x2x2 is not enough, you are lucky only the brace cracked, best suggestion I will give you is to make a new tank with 12mm glass

One more important point for first time fish buyers, research how big the fish gets when it grows up. Usually in aquarium shops, the fishes sold are small babies, which give a wrong impression to the buyers. In my case, I bought silver dollars which were about 1/2 inch, and in 1 year they are 6 inches big!!!

@MayurDevAquascaper , I am in USA and brought a frontosa cichlid baby, what products will you suggest after water change to maintain water parametes. I have filter and thermometer.
MAke sure you have a good filter media in the filter, Frontosa are community fish and do not do well alone,
you will need bacteria for the filter, good food and rock salt

Sir thanks for this video. Request your opinion on following 2 points -
1 - How to acclimatize the fish? Shall we keep the full pack floated in the tank? or just keep in the room temperature for 3 - 4 hours.
2 - Shall we pour the fish packet water in the tank yes or no. Some times we buy online and that water comes with medication.
As off now I do keep the fish packet for couple hours in room temperature and do not use the water inside the packet. Keep the Aquarium water mixed with stress heal.
But will wait for your opinion.
You have to keep the whole pack floating in the tank for an hour
Don't add the water from the pack in the tank
