Beautiful job on that “oldie but goodie” Schrade Walden skinner Drew! I haven’t seen one of those in years. That beauty should take an awesome edge and cut like a laser 😁. Great combination of burl & stag. Unique with that little offset on the stag 👍🏻. That JB Weld is wicked great stuff! Cures and turns into steel 😁. Love it. As you said that old steel sure is different. Had years to “ferment.” When you put that bear fat on the wood & stag it really stood out. Beautiful job on the sheath too Drew. You’re a damn good craftsman buddy. Another wonderful video Drew! Take care & catch ya later! Enjoy!! 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸☘️
Great job on the knife Brother. USA has a great knife making history. Those old knives fascinate me a bit. In New Zealand back in the ‘old days’ I understand there were very few imported knives like that available and they would have been very expensive for the working man. Hence most people here hunted with cheap butchers knives. Different story now. That knife would have been, and still is, a prized possession. I’m off hunting for a few days. Summer here so I will be sweating a bit! Thanks for the video Brother! 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
Well that came out nice. I haven’t watched your other stuff yet, but if you haven’t tried it, lock your angle grinder in the vise. It works better for me because I can keep both hands on the piece. Got scars to prove it. Good video.
I appreciate your insight. I feel I have more control free handing. I've gotten pretty comfortable with it over the years. Thank you for watching! Drew

Thank you John, I appreciate you brother 💪🏻🇺🇸🤙🏻 Catch ya on the next one!
Great to see you working on knives again. Took us back to the good old days!
I have at least one more up my sleeve I'm working on now. Thank you Frank!
Very nice refit of the knife and nice new leather sheath.
Much obliged and I appreciate you watching.
Enjoyed that, Drew - you're a skiiled artisan, but those dogs of yours will steal the show for me every time :)
:) Thank you Trish, I like dogs more than most people. Bonzo and Bergelmir are pretty good boys most of the time, hahaha.
