SHOCKED!!! I never expected this from Egypt Air

- A few years ago I had the worse experience flying Egypt air and had vowed never to fly it again. But due to circumstances I was forced to try it again but this time round I had my camera with me and decided to document everything in the aim to hopefully bring a change but what I found out was a complete shock!!! these airline has totally redeemed itself.

I totally agree with you. The last time I traveled with EgyptAir was in 2010, and my route was from Stockholm to Cairo, and I regretted it with the regret of my life. Zero services, zero startup time, and everything was zero.

Wow so last time l was in Kenya, KQ let me down big time by postponing my return flight to London the following day. In a frantic effort of searching flights l almost booked Egypt Air since they were very cheap. Somehow l was a bit sceptical and ended up booking Ethiopia Airlines. Watching this now about Egypt air probably l dodged a bullet lol.
I didn't see anything wrong with the breakfast. That was a standard continental breakfast found on most airlines.
Nice work Egypt Air - you've redeemed yourself. Kish got some lovely service, even personalized pudding (with incorrect spelling. 🤣)

Worst experience is at Cairo airport. Hordes of yelling porters who forcibly grab your hand bags then demand to be paid a “tip” for ‘assisting’ you!!.Worst part , the yelling and demands are in Arabic!!

@ifeifesi It's an international airport, bro. ALL international airports have English translations. If you do not see English translations, then it is a local inter-country airport, but even that is beyond rare.
I say that because ALL pilots across the world MUST speak English on the radio when in flight.
Therefore, it's not an unreasonable expection to have security staff to conduct their protocols in the local language and English for foreign nationals.
I'm from Germany 🇩🇪... Egypt airlines & the whole crew members are a nightmare . My tip ...use Ethiopian airlines 👌! The best airline aviation of Africa .

Honestly people complain to much I went on this airline from Toronto to Cairo yes the food was not the greatest but we did have entertainment screens and the service was actually not that bad overall for the price it’s a good airline

I flew them Cairo -aswan-cairo back in April/March.. flew it in business class.. while the service was lacking....food wise..short flight can't really complain.... But the staff on both flights were ok... Friendly, but they seemed stressed....my bags came out very quickly both flights
My worst nightmare was the clearing point. They kept talking to me in arabic and i kept indicating that i didn't understand. It was crazy.

I traveled by KLM was my first and only time to Africa (Ghana) from Canada. Was a great experience. Kish your experience with Egypt airline is spectacular compared to our flights from Canada to the Caribbean and from the USA to the Caribbean. Usually flight length are up to 5 hrs. We have to purchase food and must be paid by credit card. Most airlines will offer the hotel service for long layover. Enjoy your journey.

It felt as though you were complaining because you kept criticising everything the whole time. Nobody takes you to your room in a budget hotel. You never get any food to southafrica with kenyan airways from kenya. You even got food. Lets be grateful guys its economy for a reason. Im not a big fan of egypt air but you kinda exaggerated how bad your experience was.

Please don’t sleep in the Nairobi airport because it’s unhealthy. You need to sleep in an Airbnb or hotel.
I didn’t sleep there. I was just laying down coz it was an early morning flight and I was partying before heading to the support so was very tired
I had a bad experience It began with cople of hours of delay in Nairobi and when I landed in London my bags didn't arrive with me after cople of days they delivered on my address
A lot of people have had crazy experiences with Egypt Air.
I didn't like the first flight, the seats looked very dull and cramped up.
Glad they gave you free accommodation.
The last flight I was hoping to see you board using the gate not walking to the plane like Domestiv flights in Kenya haha. Glad the second flight was good. Yallah

I'm glad you had a much better experience this time around. It seems that EgyptAir's approach is to use the newer planes that offer more amenities on the flights whose destinations are outside of Africa and the older aircraft with less amenities on the flights within the continent. 🤔

Yes is it is! I had bad experience also in Cairo raport during my flight from Khartoum to Europe. The lady didn’t allow me , the word she did not want to speak to me when asked what going almost I could lose my next flight! I said no more Egipt airline!!!!
I traveled with Ethiopia airline in case they’ve paid you for this dawn rating of their competitor.
Anyone who ever boarded Ethiopia airlines knows the terrible aroma that hits you while boarding it.
Ethiopian airlines is the best. The service and their hospitality are incredible.

As an egyptian, this is quite hurtful, egyptair is way better than ethiopian airlines, maybe before it wasnt but now it is, i went from cairo to dubai on egyptairs 787, it was amazing, perfect temperature, perfect food, comfortable seats, great entertainment, while EA, theyre staff were so incompetent, my mother flew on them once and they didnt treat her well, she was sick at the time and asked for water TWICE, and never got it, she also asked for a blanket, she also didnt get it, so she had to use her scarf, then she confronted the 2 attendants that didnt give her the necessities, then they came up with the stupid response, “do you want water now?” when they already departing the plane, 🤦♂️
edit: the experience u had in this video, was just because it was a old plane.

Lesson to learn - you almost always get what you pay for. Cheap always goes hand in hand with crap. Look at Ryanair! Plus in Europe you get FA on a flight that length unless you paid extra for it. Looks to me like Egyptair were amazing and gave you superb value for money!

I flawn this airline to Nigeria in 2022 it was the worst mistake of my life I wouldn't recommend to my enemy.
Since by your own admission the plane was empty it would likely result on that route operating older aircrafts, clearly the one you were on is from the 90’s where the entertainment screens were located on the ceiling of the cabin, they can actually be seen on your video. Even if there wasn’t those screens, the earphone could also be used to listen to music by plugging it into the hand rest and controlling it through that thing you filmed on the arm rest at the beginning of the trip
I have heard several nightmare stories about that Egyptian airline and extremely substandard customer service practices at the airport and also very racist Arabs. I don’t think I will even fly over Egyptian airspace.

That's a short haul budget flight, they're mostly like so, no entertainment, more like a coach/bus. Also the Novotel hotel is a budget hotel, they do not have much staff to take you to your room or carry your bags, it's pretty much to a budget, they can't pay the staff so is the budget flight. Looking to your journey, I see it not bad.
Yea it was okay. But also from Egypt to Denmark was 4 hours but the flight there and food were waaay much better

Good video. Every flight with any airline is like a lottery. It all depends on the cabin crew. Also, the repetition of 'EgyptAir has redeemed itself' got a bit boring after the 15th time 😂. I even fast forwarded it to where you were on the plane going to Copenhagen, and you repeated it twice in the same sentence...and once again when you landed 😬. Keep up the good work, and don't keep repeating yourself as the viewer switches off mentally. Top of the morning to you too, Sir.

I travelled from Heathrow to Tanzania with Egypt air… there was a change in Cairo but from one Egypt air to another Egypt air… at our destination Tanzania our bags were lost…. There was no one to complain to or any communication… I had to just hope our bags were in the next Egypt air flight due in a few days…

Travelled with klm from Canada to Nigeria loved it ❤I had a choice to travel from Canada to USA with Egypt air and said no way
EgyptAir has good food on board, with two options (usually chicken or meat) unless the passenger has asked for a special meal beforehand. The standard is a lot higher than on most Western airlines, which have lost most of their hospitality on board. Cairo airport is another story; it's a mirror of a corrupt military state and passengers can feel it.

There's nothing like Muslim hospitality very good job Egypt Air, once I had an Transit in Portugal me and my family of six my wife couldn't get a visa out of the airport the police immigration never managed of helping us instead they put us in a kids toys room for almost 15 hours sleeping on the ground worst experience ever, never flying tap again.

Egypt Air aircrafts for East African airports are always old and not so good, I remember flying from Cairo to Entebbe International Airport Uganda and the interior of the plane we used looked dirty and had old seats.

Emirates Airlines provides hotel accommodation too for passengers from the United States as long as you have 8 plus hours. I was traveling to Uganda i had 13 hours layover in Dubai. It was a five star hotel serving buffet 24 hours to passengers I loved it , and also provided transportation to and from the airport to the hotel.

I've taken Egyptair tens of times, not perfect but not worse than most major airlines.
BTW Egyptair is ranked 88th in the top 100 and No 1 in Africa so no, Ethipian or Kenyan are NOT better. It is also the safest in the middle East including gulf companies. Check google!

i liked all the food, is it Egypt air or airport staff? There is room for improvement , but overall they seem ok to me.
