  • "If your vehicle is equipped with Bluetooth streaming audio, you can access and play audio files from your compatible Bluetooth device through the vehicle's audio system.
It is necessary to set up the wireless connection between a compatible audio device and the in-vehicle Bluetooth module before using Bluetooth audio.
For vehicles equipped with this audio system, perform the following procedure to connect your Bluetooth audio device to the vehicle:
    ● Press the PHONE/SEND button on the steering wheel.
    ● When prompted, say "Connect Phone",
    ● Then say "Add Phone".
    ● The system acknowledges the command and asks you to initiate connecting from the phone handset.
    ● When prompted for a passkey code, enter "1-2-3-4". This code is assigned by NISSAN and cannot be changed.
The connecting procedure varies according to each cellular phone model. See the cellular phone manufacturer's Owner's Manual for details.
After your device is connected, you can switch to Bluetooth audio mode by pressing the Media button repeatedly until the Bluetooth audio mode is displayed on the screen.
Use the vehicle audio controls or the Bluetooth® device's controls to play, pause, skip or reverse tracks.
Please be aware that the Bluetooth audio player may not be available immediately after starting the vehicle. Please allow a short time for the paired phone's phonebook to update before selecting or pairing a Bluetooth audio player.
In some cases, the sound quality is compromised through the Bluetooth connection. If you have this experience, we recommend using the USB audio input, if so equipped.
Please see your Owner's Manual for important safety information, system limitations and additional operating information.

To add to the info above, if your media console does not have a media button, try pressing the AUX button from the FM radio once. This should switch to Bluetooth audio if your device is connected. Pressing AUX twice will switch to AUX and will be unable to select Bluetooth again unless you go back to FM radio.

Michael Rosei my phone uses to connect via Bluetooth and now it won’t. When I try pairing it by pressing aux twice, it just won’t connect and it’s not showing up in my phone. Also when I press the call button on my steering wheel, nothing happens anymore. Did I break it?

Nissan Altima s 2013, Bluetooth usually messes up when the weather changes like from too cold to too hot but it usually takes me a couple of times to restart the car and that fixes it. Not this time, now the Nissan Bluetooth appears sometimes but doesn't connect, now it doesn't even show at all. Frustrating. I wonder if the car battery has anything to do with it? The battery is 4 years old but I haven't experienced any problems.
