Keep in mind thing costs 1 kapkan, 1 catalina cabin and 1 yongwang and it feels like a regular epic weapon now.
Having items that uses non-craftable parts is so dumb.. Everything in this game should be craftable imo. Otherwise u have things like Catalina and Omamori that goes up to insane prices whenever they aren't available from a pack/pass. A f2p player CANNOT realistically get into clan wars and earn uranium without spending loads of money on this game.
I've spent about $100 under through Season pass and the last 3 battle passes and premium. I still struggle in Clan Battles due to the asinine cost of must haves in the Clan modes. Every time I reach the bar it gets raised and my weapons and tools get nerfed. GL-55 nerf hurt, as did the change of my fusions that I worked hard to obtain and now have to go through the time and coin to try to get those rolls back. Gaijin is scamming us players horribly
@@eyespyyourspy1328 GL nerf was necessary, they were such a braindead OP weapon that you could easily bring into 5k powerscore. But i see your point. Changing how a weapon plays and how it feels is devastating for the user. I felt the same about Astraeus. Got 2 god fused astras and now they suck. Just because of the extra reload time and the fact that my godroll is no longer the best roll. It's disgusting.
I herd you said cyclones are the strongest weapons in the game. well I got GOD FUSED CYCLONES from the northern lights season.
@Lufanos Nerf was necessary, but they over nerfed it. If they are nerfing due to low ps then they just need to raise ps on weapons to make it near impossible to use low ps. I think Legendaries should be over 4k to prevent entry level seal clubbing. Clan battles should be raised to 8k -10k to compensate and certain weapons like Kapkans, Kings, and all auto lock rockets and the Caucuses should be banned from Clan battles as they are not skilled weapons and require maximum skill to evade entire teams of nothing but mine builds. Yeah legs or hovers make it easier, but not everyone want to only use legs and hovers all the time. I like my Omnis and Hermits too, but since it's all Leg and hovers or death by mine spam it is a frustration that I abore

Honestly the Athena deserved to get nerfed to the ground, it being able to deal 800 damage per burst against an averted cab was actually broken and not fun to play against, my 5khp would melt in seconds against a CC match full of athenas.
Athena still feels strong on the receiving end at 9k. I don't see them very much above 10k personally. I think people just try to seal club with them. Scummy folks.
On a side note I've seen triple Aurora a lot lately. Maybe because they have upgraded ones in the event. I think I'm going to upgrade 3 of them tonight. Durability, damage, and heat rate.
The Athena nerf was neccesary
Once you play them more its not too bad. You'll also have to get used to shooting all 4 bursts even if the target hides so you can get a fresh 4
The autocannon in the first match was a Starfall, by the way

I think Starfalls are fine the way they are. If aimed right they can do like 100 damage per shot on builds, combined with their high fire rate I think its balanced for a legendary.@@_0_0___
Make it "land at least 50% of the shots" glad it's nerfed tho. But dang that's a crazy nerf. Wasn't it, before, every single beam that hit you heated that part up, so up to 10 parts getting super heated all day xD
I get my shit pushed in all the time.....by the athena in clan confrontation. I'd say they are still good and tough to deal with.
Good it needed nerfing sick of pack weapons being busted and unbalanced Iâm not even new so hardly effected me but the newer guys itâs so rough no wonder we have a sky diving player base

On a serious note, it's the sub 10k/confrontation ps where the Athena is a problem. I feel the nerf was the wrong one though, range would have been more appropriate, it's way more than any other laser. Comparable to autocannons even

Properly Fuzed athenas still slap really hard, especially when combined with the omamori.
I finally quit XO so I shouldnt care anymore, but I think Athenas are much closer to were they should be now. It should be a skill based weapon, something you need to practice to shine with, other than giving nukes into noobs' hands. But I also think the whole PS system is broken.

I wish they would nerf the explosion/destruction visuals and the sun glare. My old eyes struggle to focus through those graphics. Father Time is undefeated, but I will fight him to the bitter end. Just wish the visuals were just a bit less obstructive
Itâs very accurate , I see itâs fairly balanced, it was a horror back then, remove almost all weapons in one shot.
Lol it still removes my weapons like I left them in thet garage. Definitely not balanced.
â@@opossumgrylls3275Previously, they were practically the best weapon in clan wars, but after the update they became simply unpleasant to play with. This is a weapon that is simply worse in all respects than destructors and at the same time significantly more expensive than them

@@JBRider Yes, there would be no complaints if it were an ordinary cheap legendary. The developers simply deceived players out of huge sums of money.
A mouse with a sniper function makes athenas really nice, kaiju too. Helps focus your aim on their guns and land more accurate shots.

It's already very easy to aim in this game lol. Try playing Apex or Finals and see the difference. Crossout players basically stand still in comparison.

I still see themâŠ.ALOT in console. Same players that have them keep using. It kind of killing the mood to play PvP anymore cause one either my friends or team are offline or the random team is just doing their thing. Been seeing them at 8 and 9 k now which is crazy. I still would like to try them but Iâm not going to use them at that ps itâs unfair to most ppl who are trying the game. I donât like Athena users when they feel that theyâre it because they have a weapon that can overwhelm something weaker than it. There is a clan that literally are running all Athena and picking on this one. Poor guy saying that he was a trash and a scrub. Itâs really sad reallythey say that itâs because he doesnât know how to play a game and itâs a skill issue, but I donât see how that is when heâs being targeted by four players with Athena

I bought 3 packs to make the athena craft when it was available! And this while living in Brazil paying in dollars 5x more expensive, then a month later the gaijin nerfa. For me it was the biggest example of how dirty this company is. If I wanted to nerf, I shouldn't have spent a lot of money like me to get it. Now if I'm going to spend, I'm just going to buy premium!

Same story again and again. Release OP weapon to drive pack sales and part suckers from their money. Let the community revel and bask in their greatness. As soon as pack sales slow down and everyone fuses all their nice, expensive stuff then nerf the shiny into oblivion.

It's a great time to buy the Athenas! We all know that crossout is a money grab and the Athens are cheap right now. Being a non craftable item I garentee they will be in a recipe for the next relic

the price has dropped to 4500 last i saw on xbox. I have 700 coin but i was highly debating selling omamori for 9000k+ for 2 Athenas. But im on the grind for 2 hammerfalls and blueprint slots...

The optimal range is higher for destructors due to absolute accuracy, damage is higher for destructors, reload is higher for destructors, destructors turn faster, destructors are smaller in size which makes them harder to hit, destructors are cheaper than Athens. It would be better if the developers focused on making the Athens a more convenient and accurate weapon that would not deal high damage, but would greatly heat up the enemy's weapons, as if it were a legendary sequel to the Aurors. Aurors and triggers are in balance in their category, but Athens is definitely weaker than a destructor in all factors
