One main thing that I think has helped me STAY vegan is changing my mindset from "I can't have that" (animal products) to "I don't want that." And that may be how you feel initially, but I know for me, it took some more education on animal cruelty, the corruption of the food industry, and all the other important information that helps you STAY vegan until I really felt like I did NOT want animal products, not that I wasn't allowed to have them.
love this!
mikailaskaroff this is how I feel too! I'm still lacking the knowledge on the animal cruelty side of it but the health aspect of it was enough for me. Now every time I see a cooking video on Facebook with meat I'm like "ugh ew no thanks". It makes me kind of grossed out to think I used to eat meat every day.
Yes! I always tell people this, and correct myself when I say that. Love this!
TOTALLY agree!
Exactly. Veganism does not mean sacrifice, it means refusal.
when people ask me where I get my protein I just say,"oh I don't get any protein Ill probably die soon."
Heather Perry- lmaoo 😂😂
Heather Perry haha I'm going to use that!
Heather Perry I tell an elaborate story about how vegans eventually gain the capability to absorb protein from other people so really they should be concerned about where they get their protein from when I'm around
hahaha thats dope
superninjarobotgirl omg I almost spit my water that I was drinking when I read your comment😂😂😂😂
When I went vegan I farted for 3 weeks! Now my skin, digestion and fatigue is soooo much beter!
love your videos!
kiddieuwke 😂😂😂
I love you just for this comment.
kiddieuwke did u break out??
I thought it was just me
Thanks for saying-
thought I must be dying
I went vegan overnight 10 months ago and i never looked back! Best decision i've ever made in my life!
callmecristal did u break out during the detox process?
callmecristal yesssss! Me too! All of my life changes - I have become inspired around 10pm and started immediately- cigarettes, social media , vegan . Going strong 🙌- blessings on your journey 🐷🐣🐮
can you please make a video on how to go vegan in a non vegan household? thanks ❤
Daniella Emily it's not easy. But it's doable. My dad used to work in a factory farm and would kill the animals personally. He was super disconnected from the act. Now that he sees how compassionate I am, he thinks back at it and makes different choices each day. He's definitely not vegan, and it took a lot of time, but once the conversation is open, and the products are in the house, chances are others will try your food and it won't be as hard as time goes on.
Daniella Emily I live with relatives and parents. My family's diet is very meat based and it is not easy to reject the foods at first. I started cooking for myself and buying my own groceries. I prep my foods so when I'm busy and if other people is using the kitchen. I got insulted at first especially at family parties. Overtime, your family will slowly respect you for eating plant based. & when they do, educate them more about veganism. Educate your household, even if they criticize you, it really is the best thing to do to yourself and others.
Daniella Emily try first telling them ( if they ask or pick on you) that it's not healthy to eat ASD,and it's good for your health,I find that people right away """ Oh....! I see... I wish I could do it...." and then when they start to act normal after a while then you start giving them information about veganism and ,so .Get yourself enough information to answer confidently there questions, cause there some people that are truly nice and just curious about and why,and maybe you will help more people to transition.
i agree, lots of my latino family hates vegans because they rely on animals for everything.
i live with my family currently, if you cook your own food and have your own place to keep your food for yourself, it makes everything so much easier and i recommend knowing the essential foods to always have on hand and having your own space
a good video for the series would be general vegan cooking tips! like how to cook tofu, make banana ice cream, what nuts make good bases for vegan sauces, etc.
i agree, something like: "vegan kitchen basics"
Peter Hönig yes that would be interesting
YES!!!
Claudia Smedberg yes totally agree! I would find this super helpful especially with like simple recipes
Claudia Smedberg yaaaassssssss
I think the hardest part of being vegan for me is how to eat at social events with non vegans. Caitlin or anyone else, how do you deal with this? Normally when visiting family for the holidays or even going out to eat with friends is difficult for me because of lack of choices and fear of being judged. Any thoughts?
Elsani you can always make your own food and bring it with you, or eat before. or if you are going to a restaurant, and you know where you are going ahead of time, you can find the place online to see what your choices are. you can even call the place and ask if they aren't online. if you don't know the restaurant ahead of time always ask a waiter what they have that doesn't have any meat or dairy(eggs also). Restaurants can always modify dishes for you as well.
ShinyEvenWonderღ this
Elsani - i just want to say that you don't need to be worried about being judge, because if you know that what your doing is good.. not only for you but the environment, then you shouldn't care if they judge you. Just be you
If my friends are going to judge me for wanting to help the earth, then maybe they aren't worth having around...
Elsani www.peta.org/living/food/chain-restaurants/
i think maybe a video dedicated to ultra simple, cheap, and clean options for each meal and for snacks would be helpful
also, maybe how to read lables? or maybe an intro to different food combos for a balanced diet?
JellyfishGroupStan also mention the words that are code for animal products that not everyone is familiar with ?
Yvohnn I definitely need a video like that.
JellyfishGroupStan check out @cheaplazyvegan for easy and healthy recipes
How to read labels is a really great idea for a video! There are so many ingredients that look fine so people don't think twice about it, but then after doing research discover it isn't vegan!
JellyfishGroupStan use the app codecheck! it's so helpful!
YES the detox period point is SO IMPORTANT. so many people try out being vegan and then never make it through that step bc they're like "oh I got sick and didn't feel well" but you have to at least give it 2-3 weeks!! My detox period was so intense and lasted a good 3 weeks- I broke out terribly and got migraines- but it's has been SO worth it since then!!
You don't realeyes how brainwashed you are, none of you do. You don't even know this is a pysop based on depopulation and climate change, that the UN has put this out, that climate change is weather modification, or that your cell phones, chemtrails and wifi, EMF are a much bigger danger to you than eating meat will ever be. If it weren't so sad it would be laughable. There is no hope for the humanities future, you're all so mind controlled.
Needed to hear that too 😍its my first week
No wonder ive been having a headache for a few days now. Im slowly going vegan, I've only had meat/chicken a couple of times since Christmas and I noticed that my stomach feels bubbly when I have eaten it, plus the headache that won't go away. But I can't wait for the day I can 100% say I'm vegan!
@@RosyOutlook2 the reason why you should go vegan is for kidness and compassion for animals because they suffer and resist to be murdered. They are not our slaves they have a bigger purpose besides being food. You are brainwashed too, please think about it!!!
I had intense constipation because of transitioning to a high fiber diet and that was just me going vegetarian lmao
For me the most difficult thing has been trying to eat at family events. I don't love explaining myself or turning down food I used to love. I think navigating holidays with family would be a good topic for a video for beginner vegans.
Do you know veganism will wipe out the male species? That phytoestrogens which plants are rich in will double cross XY to XX and along with being a vegan, not to mention add insult to injury via the plastics, excitotoxins and xeno estrogens. You may off course not care about males.
RosyOutlook2 wut?
I have a video on this! Let me know if those tips help you or if you have any better ones!
RosyOutlook2 coming from a Med student. That is such nonsense it was even hard to read LOL.
I began my journey last week so I'm excited for this series!
My journey is going slow so far. I started eating vegan for breakfast and lunch then a meat product for dinner. I'm going to slowly ween myself off of meat
Also "what the health" helped me to make the decision so I definitely recommend watching.
Michael Allen awesome!!! You got this :)
You can do this michael! Vegan is delicious and super nutritious 👏🏼😄
Michael Allen U
a real man! good luck
Michael Allen slow and steady is always great! It was a 2 year process for me. Each stage was a little challenging but after a month or two it became the norm for me. I gave up meat first the. Dairy about 7 months later and eggs almost a year after the dairy. Eggs were difficult for me at first but then I started thinking about what they really are and it made it easier for me to give up.
I live in a "meat eater" household and have been vegetarian myself ever since I was 13. Living in the "countryside" of Brazil is reaaally hard for vegans/vegetarians, although it's getting just a tad lil' bit better, but I'm a senior in high school and though I cook my food most of the time, I sometimes struggle because I can't make my food. Also, there are times when my relatives make my food vegetarian and/or with really low protein intakes. I also got a blood test a week ago and I'm healthier than ever, eating only cheese and veeeery occasionally eggs. I really hope for the day when I'm going full vegan, it's one of my ultimate goals 💖 sorry for the long comment and I love your videos!
Leila Muniz I'm also from brasil and became a vegetarian at the age of 12. None of my family members are vegetarians so it was tough some times, most of the time during holidays when everyone's seems to be interested in asking why you don't eat meat...:)
I've been vegan for like 2 years now and I live in Morocco, where veganism isn't even a thing, and I live in a meat eating household ofc, animals are being slaughtered every year for religious reasons, and our fridge is always full of eggs, dairy etc .... But I have no problem being vegan here, since I planned everything out, I eat oats, beans and lentils, seeds and veggies, the cheapest stuff that can be bought here, lately I even made some homemade soy milk and I'm loving it, since soy beans are so dirt cheap as well c:
My n1 advice is meal planning, I do cook beans once a week or 2weeks and I freeze them in bulk, so that when i want to eat a salad I can just throw them in instead of cooking them from scratch!
Martha Sachser there are also a lot of dismissive relatives... one of my cousins even shove a piece of meat in my plate. Embustes hahaha
CrimsonDip that's great of you! I also meal plan but as a very busy senior, for ME sometimes my schedules are crazy and I can't cook my own food, even though I am "well off" and can afford a few of the "fancy" substitutes. I tried to portray my journey here, and I believe everyone has their time. I also buy cruelty free and vegan products/snacks only, so that's my thoughts and my idea and my take on that 😉
Ive found that hard sometimes, when i visit my family sometimes they just give me carbs or just carbs and veggies and im craving protein and it makes me feel so sleepy
A list of the best greens to put in a starter vegan meal plan would be super helpful, thanks!
If this girl's skin health ALONE doesn't make you want to be vegan, there's no hope for you
Chanel Aron so true!!
You are right girl
She's 84.
Skin doesn't mean all that much compared to what happens to the human brain on a vegan diet. Studies have shown vegans get dementia at a much higher rate than omnivores and at a younger age.
Xolty Xretro> Processed meat is always a bad idea. I personally only eat a bit of salmon and occasional sardines. But I wouldn't be vegan even if I were older because the nutrients in meat are needed all throughout life.
i am no where near vegan or even vegetarian, but I've slowly been cutting down/out dairy and meat throughout my meals and my days. There are days that I only eat plant based and It is a very small step, but I feel good doing so! These series will help inspire me so much more! Yaaaay!
Woohoo good job!
bls_ sunshine That's a great start👍🏻 and so many vegans and vegetarians have started out that way too😊
Caitlin, I always thought being vegan was expensive and the food was boring . You have proved me wrong!! However I think a HUGE problem for myself and others is we don't know where to start!!I literally an walked into the grocery store and was like what the hell do I buy. Can you PLEASE do a video that shows what to buy and a week of recipes. I thank you for your wonderful videos. Jai Bless
Maybe a video about "how to read labels" I'm always confused with all the E's etc.
Love you ! xx
I don't know if this will help put if you get the app "is it vegan?" You scan the barcode & the app can tell you if it's vegan or vegetarian
Ashley Gutierrez -woahh nice!!
There's an app called "is it vegan?" That can scan the label and tell you if it's vegan
Ashley Gutierrez But this only works in the US I think
I went vegan the day after I said I would never go vegan lolll!!!
I love that you're so accepting and calm and open about people falling off the wagon and transitioning slowly. I think there need to be a lot more vegans like you that're well-known and help change the stereotype from being militant to accepting. Thanks so much for making these! Your advice is super helpful and I wish I found videos like this when I went vegan, it would've helped a lot.
I am 50 years old and in transition to a vegan diet. I just want to say thank you. Videos like this are my encouragement to keep it up even when I miss certain foods.
when you've already been vegan for a while but you're watching this video anyway haha
I am vegan but I love watching these videos! Ha ha ha ha
Could you cover the process of actually implementing a consistent food plan? And also the process of finding vegan food you enjoy eating?
I find both of these things very difficult. I went vegan a month ago. Thanks!
Ulysses About the food plan: first you need to plan it. Depending on how much planning you usually do, you don't have to plan every meal. I would start with your main meal and some optional combinations. For example, plan your lunch for every day of the week - you can connect that with your grocery shopping, and you can even 'meal prep' (there are some great videos on CZcams). Also, have ready some healthy snacks.
It all depends on your exact situation: what is your problem - getting enough calories, specific food groups, specific nutrients? When you identify your problems, you can think and research about ways to mitigate it.
About food you enjoy: Start with the food you already like. Even before you were vegan, there probably were some vegan things you enjoyed - so just eat them more frequently. Experiment with new food (like new types of vegetables, fruits, grains), or with new ways of preparation - sometimes different spices or food combinations can make huge difference. Search for vegan recipes. If you miss some non-vegan food, find a similar but vegan replacement.
Take small steps: give yourself one task every week. For example, to find a recipe for one thing, or to try new foods from specific groups.
Also, connect with other vegans, in person or online. You will feel better, and you can exchange advice and recipes.
Ulysses the person above me already wrote a really informative guide :) I recommend you some vegans: Pick Up Limes (on yt) - she's got a vegan grocery list on her site, food blogs like minimalist baker can inspire you to make some yummy meals, she has THOUSANDS of AWESOME vegan meals (healthy + comfort food!), and always, strive to educate yourself more and more! Education is key.
I would love to see a video about vegan makeup and skincare products! It always is frustrating when I'm looking for good ones, and oftentimes many products are cruelty free but not vegan! 💁🏻
they sell vegan and natrual makeup and health stores!
this is such a great video!! and thank you for touching on topics/advice that are a little less-talked about than others. always positive, but firm. you're always one of my favorite inspos :)
Thank you so much. You are by far my favorite CZcamsr for making this transition understandable and uncomplicated.
I'm so excited about this series!! Please make more recipe videos for winter! 💚
Thanks for all the free vids 👐💯love the input and having people cover stuff like this props
*likes video before watching it* 😂 thank you for making this video! I went vegan a month ago! ❤❤
Ahhh thank you for doing this series!! It's so much more productive to make videos like these than to write negative comments on people's videos or post those toxic 're:' videos personally attacking people who fall off the vegan wagon (lol)!!
So helpful Iv been looking for a video on this information finely found it thanks!
I'd love to see a video on how to take veganism farther than just food-- like avoiding leather/wool, choosing vegan and cruelty free cosmetics etc. I can't wait to see more of this series!
You are so incredibly well spoken and eloquent. Such a pleasure watching your videos
These tips are absolutely fantastic! I think the best advice is not to rush it, the documentaries that you mentioned are indeed very eye-opening, but it can be too much to take care of everything overnight. I was sooo scared when I was feeling tired, had more acne and lost some weight (I'm verrry skinny in general), but as you said it could simply be detox period. It's been about 3 weeks now, I do not consider myself vegan yet (I'd rather say I'm vegetarian to not be judged when I slip up with some feta cheese in a salad or vegetarian pizza at a party) but I'm slowly on my way and I'm enjoying every second of it. Your videos really helped me tho, I can feel a sense of community and validation which I'm not getting from my family.
I've been vegetarian for 6 years now and have been contemplating going vegan for the majority of that. I'm getting to a point where I'm cutting out most dairy but still working on it. So excited for more of this series!
I'm so excited for this series!
Jessie Me too!!!!
Its so funny that you hang stuff from your door knob too! Love your videos!!!
Such a great video and I agree with every single thing you said. Also, very great series- I'm looking forward to upcoming videos!
Her dimples are giving me life 😂😍
I know you made this video a year ago but your advice is spot on i experienced every thing you said please don't ever take this down it will help a whole lot of new vegan starters i am a year in i love it and will never go back i don't miss meat stopped eating it the first day and have not touched it since did not like it that much when I ate it i only ate chicken and turkey anyway so it was easy i did use vegan substitutes the first few months but now i find there is so much more out there i can eat without it i make my own sausage and Seitan meat so i let go of cheese easier than i thought i would. but detox for me was about 4 months I am so glad i did not let it detour me. anyway again thanks for all of your great advice it is needed. Yvonne
Such a good video. I needed some of this information and wanted to clear up a few things to myself but I definitely want to change to having a vegan diet but first I want to educate myself so that I know what I am doing. Thanks for sharing this and I also wanted to point out i kept looking at the background I loved it . 🧡
Thank you so much for taking the time to post these videos and educate us...I am going to make the change but I want to make sure I am educated in what I am going so my body thrives. I just watched 'What the health' last night and it was very eye opening. I have been thinking about going vegan for a while now and find your 'what I eat' videos very helpful as it gives me ideas! So thank you!!
Such a great concept, I love it! So excited for the future videos!
These tips are so useful because as new vegan we tend to do things pretty extreme (I used to be like that by the way). I am really happy about this video, such a good job loved it! ♥
I just ran into your channel.
Loved it!
Keep on with the great work, you are AWESOME. :)
I'm glad I found your channel. I have to go Vegan because of my health. Thank you for being awesome! I started this year, and my health shot up 200%! Last year I was Vegetarian that ate chicken and fish... Which still wasn't making me feel better. So this year im going 100% vegan and I'm loving how I feel! No regrets! Thank you so much for you budget videos too. LoL I'm tight on money and don't know what I could make that's good, til I found your channel! ❤️
Thank you so much 😘😘 I really am thankful for finding your channel you help and answered all my questions 😘
After watching What the Health last Friday I have decided to approach a more vegan life style over night! It was not too difficult for me since I wouldn't eat meat on a daily basis but I would eat a lot of processed meats which is just as bad and even worse as well as eat a lot of dairy! But your channel along with a few others have really helped well inform me! Thank you for all of your great information and great recipes!! :)
Two yr ago I decided to rewire my mindset and began more of a vegetarian lifestyle. Now, I am well equipped with resetting my mindset often and have gone on several lifestyle nutritional changes to align with my fitness goals. This year, I desire to push myself to engage in a fulltime wholesome "greens" perspective as a way of environmental and animal awareness journey. Week 2 and so far I am feeling regulated and energetic. I intend to do this for the next 2+ weeks.
This is so helpful for me! I’m transitioning to a vegan lifestyle and hoping to fully transition in two days.... can’t tell you how much I needed this encouragement! I don’t know any vegans in my community!
I love how supportive you are
Caitlin is the best.. helped me a lot I’ve been vegan for a week now :D been taking so many notes on your videos and have a huge grocery list ready :D
This was helpful. I turned on plant based diet for more than a month now...for the first 2 weeks i felt terrible, i had indigestion, felt bloated, no change on my weight and had a lot of acne (i usually have 1-2/month but after changing my diet i have 10..just on my forehead!). After that, indigestion and bloatedness are gone, but i still have acne breakouts and no change on my weight.
Thank cause yesterday was day 2 for me and I head a head ache and was tired. But you explained why I also talked or nah I going back to meat. I also jumped the gun and went cold turkey...so now day 3 I’m feeling a little better and now filling my plate. So thank you.
Can you make an episode suggesting "must have" or commonly used ingredients for vegan recipes? I'm a new subscriber and I love watching your recipe videos because they actually look tasty, but a bunch of the ingredients I don't have at home, coming from a meat-heavy household. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this video. I've just started to transition from a vegetarian to a vegan. I wanted to start way sooner but have been scared because of a lot of the things you mentioned in this video. Also watching a few documentaries recently helped me.
I don't really like eating most of those "fake-meats" because they resemble the original too much for my taste.
I think I do certainly need a lot more education on what to eat exactly and try out a few things but I'm gonna make it!
why only eat mock meats and cheeses for transitioning? If those help you stay vegan then go for it anytime!
Herb Derb for sure! I really don't care what people eat as long as it's vegan and they feel happy doing it 🤗
the only problem with that is that if their diet consists of mostly mock meats and cheeses (aka vegan junk food) this will invietbly engender health issues because these foods typically lack the nutritional abundance that would be found in more whole plant based foods. As a result, people will claim that a vegan diet made them feel horrible and "didnt work for them". Do you have to develop ortherxia mindset about it and completely elimante these foods? No, just find a good enough balance the will keep you feeling good while still actually enjoying what you eat :)
because real meat is healthier than vegan fake meats
Oh my gosh this is the first video I've ever watched from you and I love your approach/positive attitude! Subscribed! :)
I'd love a video about coping with accidents like misreading a label or even meat/dairy/eggs getting mixed in with cafeteria food at school when it's supposed to be vegan. Great video btw. Keep up the awesome tips 👍🏻
I'm a new vegan did it cold turkey going in my 3 month , I did it for health though ,but ended up loving the food ,all the beatiful colors on fruits and vegies, grains just everything and everything taste so good love love love vegan 4 life thanks 4 sharing💜
Thank you so much for this video. I am new to being vegan and I have commitment issues when it comes to sits or lifestyles. I appreciate it.....keep it up👍👍👍
New sub! I'm slowly trying to make my way to a vegan lifestyle and your encouragement really helps! It's really hard to find support especially since I'm a Latina and meat is life, I'm so happy I found you!
Love the Marcella Kriebel watercolor in the background!
Loved this video girl! Thanks for creating the vegan starter kit series! Love what you're doing
If you can please make a video about kitchen tools you recommend. That would be so helpful! Thanks so much, love your videos :D
I am on week one of eating no meats and no dairy. I struggle with really enjoying what i make to eat. I love veggies, but this bean situation is another thing. I have been watching your videos and I enjoy your advice.
Miriam I do not understand why there are so many ignorant people about nutrition. Wait until this girl reaches 40 and You will see what happens to her skin and looks. No need to say more,
Hi, I just found your channel a few days ago,,,, really great videos Caitlin !!!!
I am on my 3rd day of plant based eating. So far i like it. I am starting at 308 lbs and can't wait to see the results. Thank you for sharing.
awesome:)
Very educational video wth some good content. Always love your uploads. ❤️
First time seeing your video. I have been vegan for 25 + years. I really liked your video. its nice to see a younger generation speak out with the basics. Keep up with your message!
Yes, I found you a couple of days ago. I'm currently a meat eater. I would like to make the change to become a Vegan for health. Also, I found Purely Elizabeth blueberry at my job. Gonna try it out.
Some creative tips for how to incorporate more greens! Ya girl can only fit so much in a blender, and salads get boring after awhile!
Also some staple homemade dressing recipes would be much appreciated!
Caitlin could you do a video on must have grocery items in your pantry when starting out with a vegan diet?
You are one amazing young lady. Thank you for all that you share.
Thank you for this video !! It definitely helped
For all the comments asking about eating out on a vegan diet, in general, a go to of mine is to see if it's possible to modify their vegetarian dishes (most restaurants now have at least 1) to be vegan (removing the cheese, cooking without butter, etc.) or a lot of times just ordering sides works as they are often vegan. If you're going to a restaurant that has at least a semi full kitchen where they prep their own foods you should be able to find some options (or the kitchen should have the means to make you something). I've gone to steak and fish houses with my family and still been able to to order a pretty good meal. Also, check the menu ahead of time (if possible) or call the restaurant. Looking at Yelp and other review sources to see if anyone has left reviews that talk about vegan options (you can search the reviews and type in "vegan") is also helpful. I try to leave reviews on Yelp for most restaurants I go to in hopes that it will help other vegans. One of my other fave vegan channels (besides Caitlin! ;)) called "A Chill Vegan" has done quite a few videos with tips on dining out if you need more help!
Love love love this video! Thanks so much girl!
Great video, addressing main issues of taking veganism seriously: i.e. educating yourself and dealing with the transition. I'm in the transition period, and this video helps a lot in reaffirming what is important.
so helpful, thank you!
one thing i can think of to talk about is for people who want to go vegan, but aren't fond of very many vegetables and need to know how to cook them differently! i'm the type of person who has tried some veggies a few different ways, but still doesn't like them...so i only like a select few! any tips or tricks on how to add variety/make them taste better would be so helpful!
I am fructose and fructan intolerant (fruits, wheat, garlic, onion, wheat, beans, etc.). If you find now that you have increased these foods and you feel bloated or have digestive issues, you may want to look into these intolerances. Caitlin suggests other things realted to this bloating/gas too.
I have been eating so many potatoes in every form I know with nutritional yeast. I would love some BASIC and fast options to take to work :)
For me I just went straight into it and it went really well I haven’t had any struggle but I have been making sure I’m eating all my greens I was a cheese love and chicken but then there was alternative that tasted just as good it’s not really a diet to me because I still eat all my favorite snacks like chips ice cream with just vegan replacements
I would love to see a video on vegan pantry essentials and where to buy them. it was almost two years of being vegan before I discovered nutritional yeast, and I know that's always hard to figure out what the kitchen basics are.
Can one of the topics be "how to deal with cheese cravings" or like tips for a cheese addict trying to go vegan? Cause I struggle.
J W I need to get me some nutritional yeast. That's for sure :)
Omg please look up Hot for Food vegan nacho cheese, it's amazing and easy to make and much cheaper than store bought cheeses
I want vegan two months ago and so far daiya slices are so good
Just watch a documentary that talks about diary production. She's tastes amazing and it will be hard to get away from at first, but it does get easier. Eventually you won't even miss it.
You inspire me so much. Thank you
Can you make a video on how to vegan meal prep (weekly) on a budget (~150 a month) thank you!!!

How to eat vegan on a road trip/vacation?
I’m going on a trip to Florida this Saturday morning!! How do I eat vegan when there’s 15 people at least there that are meat lovers!!
For someone who is just going vegan I am so excited for all of these Vegan Starter Kit videos!! You are my favorite vegan youtuber :) Could you please make a video about easy vegan meals. Preferably ones that don't include that many ingredients. It is super hard living around people that are no where near vegan and having to always make your own food. Thank you. LOVE YOU xoxoxo
Could you cover sources of b12, omega 3's and iron?
Awesome video Caitlin! I made almost all of these mistakes vegan 😵 but kept persevering 🎉 1.5 years vegan now 😊😊😊
Could you Make a video on the best answers for common questions. E.g. What do you eat? Where do you get your protein from?
Great video. I first wanted to go vegan as a teenager, and my family was not supportive. Then I went to college and the cafeteria food sucked! Now, I'm on my own (living alone and working and making my own money), and I have no more excuses. So I'm going full on vegan after being vegetarian for nearly ten years. I'd say that I'd also suggest expecting increased gas from eating more veggies and beans, especially if you didn't eat these foods much before. Taking an enzyme pill can help with gas, also eating them more, your body gets used to them more and the gas goes down. And water does help with that. I also suggest, though there are many subsets of the vegan diet, having staple meals based on rice and beans, two of the cheapest foods you can find, healthy, and a good source of protein. (Also, the beans are a good source of iron and calcium). Also, read a book specifically on vegan nutrition. That way you are knowledgeable and comfortable about your choice. My fave book on vegan nutrition is Vegan for Life. And I can't stress the one on making sure you eating enough calories! I've met a couple of people who said they couldn't be vegetarian or vegan after they tried, and when I asked them what they ate, they say "salad." You cannot eat enough calories from vegetable salads alone.
Great video! Thank you for sharing! Do you know any practical and realistic books about vegan life?
Can you please make a video about how to go/stay vegan in high school? I am starting sophomore year vegan and gluten free and am having trouble finding things to eat during lunch. Thanks!! ❤️
Great video! Thank you so much! I just subscribed!
Hi Caitlin! what supplements do you recommend on a plant base diet? Thx
My journey to becoming a vegan has started with vegetarianism but I’m very well aware of all the ingredients and animal based products in my day to day life. Excited for the future!!!
could you do a video on how to implement more greens into your diet? like recipes and stuff c:
Thank You I Needed This!!
this was actually super awesome! i have a hard time watching vegan videos becuz i dont appreciate being talked down to or feeling like im in a meditation and yoga class. i felt like i was talking to a friend in this video. very cool thanks!
not that meditation or yoga classes are bad. lol just that i appreciate it when someone talks to me normally.
I think the first mistake...because it's trendy is really spot on Caitlin. A lot of people say they are vegan or are becoming vegan "just because". Educating oneself is crucial, and also making the emotional connection, I think, because once you make that connection and you see the ethical aspect, I believe people never go back. Once you know, you can't just "unknow" right? ;)
Hi, I'm a new subscriber and enjoying your videos! I'd suggest more ideas for cooked vegan meals, specially lunch and dinner. So far, I have the impression the vegans eat mostly cold lunches and that is a real challenge for me. Thanks in advance!
