I always suggest folks start with Dear Rappers, that’s his first big hit. He was living in South Central, no power, couldn’t pay rent down to his last half cigarette. Went out on the porch, wrote the song, came back in told his girlfriend he’d written the song that was going to change everything. They recorded the song and the video that night, borrowed money from friends/family to buy Facebook ads, and it blew up and changed everything. Some songs reference others so going in order can be helpful.

I love most music, rap, rock, metal, and I used to love rap, listened to all the stuff, watched 8 mile, it was some great stuff. But at a certain point it's like mainstream rap turned into just another echo of mainstream media and late night talk shows. Now it's all just mumbling and satanic nonsense, I'm glad I found Tom.

By the way... I'm 44 and never listened to rap (mostly metal and rock). Then I discovered Tom and now he's one of my top 4 favorite artists.
You might want to start with the song he first went viral with "Dear Rappers" and go from there. A little background info: he lived in the ghetto, was broke and about to get evicted and wrote this song while smoking his last cigarette. He believed in the song and borrowed a little money from friends and and family to promote it on Facebook. It went viral and he finally got the recognition he deserves.
