Highlights from the college football game between Michigan State and Notre Dame on 9/12/1998. This game was the second night game played at Spartan Stadium.
Was a great win but you do know this team ended up 6-6 with no bowl right? Dantonio had ONE team in 13 years that didn’t go to a bowl or get at least six wins
@@logannedervelt6040 I know. Saban, Williamson, and JLS all had incredible talent but never really seemed to get where Dantonio got with "lesser" recruits. Was just saying it's funny when people think MSU fans just appeared after Dantonio took over. Tuck comin'
Did you love what we did to you last we played you? 2017 curb stomped you in your own house 😂. We regained control of the series and have a commanding overall lead in the series. How is Mel Tucker doing 😃
Yes, his lack of bowl wins and Big Ten titles really proved that. Remember, this same team finished 6-6 with a few inexplicable late-game losses that typified the Saban era in East Lansing. Good riddance.
@@bestcoastsxmcp Give me a break. MSU's roster was decimated when he took over. He was shackled with the NCAA sanctions from Perles and had 70-80 scholarship players until 1999. Few coaches or staffs could have done as well as he did. Then he had the worst School president in MSU history, M. Peter McPherson refuse to negotiate a pay raise for him and his assistants and increase the recruiting budget. So he left for LSU and then Alabama and won multiple National Championships. He would have done the same thing at MSU. He's the greatest College Football Coach of all time. To argue otherwise is delusional.
... and that is one of the reasons why the Angry Leprechauns did away with the Spartan series. Michigan State was no longer a non-conference padding to their schedule. “Little Giants” was another humiliation. Go Green !!!
The way he goes down after the helmet to helmet hit by T.J. does look like he is out cold. But he jumps right up and is celebrating. Do you remember if they talked about that at the time?
That team of MSU had so much talent. Julian Peterson, plaxico, Scott.
I see old games at Spartan Stadium at laugh at the people who say our fanbase was established with Dantonio.
Msu probably has the most loyal fanbase in college football lol. They were selling out every game going 6-6 every year 😭

@@seanwalters1977 I think I kind of misread what you said. My bad. Tuck coming Go Green!
@@logannedervelt6040 All good. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Go white!
42-3 at the half. I'll never forget this game as long as I live. Has to be the single greatest half of play in MSU history.
Probably the best half I ever saw in person.
I liked when you guys choked away a lead in 2006 when bubba smith was there on 40 year anniversary on the 66 game 😂
Even the Dantonio years never remotely produced that kind of offensive play in football. That was fun football.
I'll have what you're smoking.
This was the single greatest half of football I have ever witnessed.
I love seeing the Golden Boys go down.

And they had Notre weak ranked #11 . Favorites then favorites now . Same old rankings hustle
U dope, ND way better than u bums.. yall let Saban get away and hire John L smith. Dopes. Go Irish check the scoreboard

I think it's fitting that Nick Saban is shown at the end. Say what you want about Mr. Saban, the man can flat out coach.

ND leads series 49-28-1 with a 38-13 curb stomping in 2017 in that shit hole of a stadium yall play in 😎
I was at that game. talk about opening a can of whoop ass in the first half by the Spartans. that's what the team needs now!
Fun to see the young Nick Saban. You know, Coach Saban before he was Coach Saban he of the golden enshrined gawd of college football.
You sound mad bro.. they are good where they are.. enjoy
wish the fans especially the student sections would stay the whole game like back then.
C'mon Dantonio! Have us put performances like this, please!
Would love to see a repeat of this on 9/18/10. Go State!
should have put up 90-100 points on ND
2017- ND 38-13 over u.. dont it feel good 😀😂😂
@@irishcole3516 ND has been and still scared to join the big ten
I remember being there that night. it was soooo HOT and HUMID. it was unbearable except to watch us thump the Irish's skulls.
Then ND thumped little brothers skulls 38-13 last game played 😂

I think this was it.

I bet Saban was pissed that they got outscored 20-3 in the 2nd half.
