Just after his freshman season, Cory suffered a devastating stroke caused by an undetected malformation in his brain called an arteriovenous malformation, or AVM.
Through life-saving procedures at Penn State Hershey Stroke Center, and extensive rehabilitation, Cory returned to the court the final game of his senior year to beat the odds...and score the point of his life.
