Imam Malik was very strict about Hadiths he didn’t accept them if they were contradictory to the Quran and if they were irrational.

    • @paladinent1
      @paladinent1 Před rokem +3

Irrational ? If there is authentic chain of narration till the prophet. No matter how irrational it is you have to accept. For example if prophet may peace and blessings be upon him says he saw someone getting punishment in the grave. Rationally their body is gone so how come they are receiving punishment. Its highly irrational specially those of us limited by our senses. Therefore I feel the use of word irrational is not appropriate here.

@@richardanthony3267 If we apply this logic to quran then what will happen logic is very much dependent on a person's intellect. What about jinn we cannot prove their existence is it logical to believe in them or the angels? Is it logical to believe that something can come out of existence from. Nothing. Will we be judged for our sins or its just a metaphor ? implications are boundless. Secondly Allah says in the quran and I am paraphrasing that humans should not blindly become slaves to their wishes and desires. But we are bound to be subdued by them if we don't have a proper method of interpretation. What about punishment of the grave?

@@paladinent1 I agree with you and most of what you said, but I specifically mention in regards to hadith that contradict the rationale of the human mind in terms of implication of applying the religion in our lives, I am definitely not against Hadith. I am an avid Maliki , I believe our intellect must be used as a criterion based on those who came before us from amongst the earliest generations and as we see Imam Malik had a criterion that he applied to distinguish, and we all know that he had thousands of hadith that he never transmitted to the people because he believed certain hadith shouldn't be in possession of the laymen and Allah knows best,

Dear Abdul Karim, Can you please elaborate on why you have not yet studied further into Imam Maliks methodology of how Malik differentiated between Sunna and Hadith. You were on Abu Layths podcast and he discussed this with you. You should have had enough time to study this in detail. I find it abit weak that your claiming you dont know enough of Malik. I feel as though thats an excuse, because Imam Maliks methodology is stronger than your refutation of all Hadith.

Accepting additional guidance outside Quran because they say it come prophet the prophet of Allah is a great mistake in Islam. That is what clearly let to sect in Islam.
I am very sure those people Almighty Allah Commented about in Q4v81 & Q47v16 that they go about saying something contrary from what they hear from Muhammed will equally find ways to create their own Hadith which will surely contradict Quran and its part of what some will hold as part of their guidance.
The safest area is to stick to the Quran alone or with Hadith that are in harmony with the Quran.

This-Video proves what I always tell People:
    Apathy is worse than Ignorance.
Number-1: al-Qur'aniyyah/Qur'anism (Rejection of the Sunnah/Prophetic-Tradition) never even existed via the Lifetime of Malik ibn-Anas.
    Number-2: Malik ibn-Anas was literally a Muhaddith (Hadith/Narration-Scholar).
Number-3: Malik ibn-Anas is credited with being the Author of the Oldest Surviving-Musnad/Collection of Documented-Sunnah.
    #Proof:
Ibn ‘Asakir reported: Malik ibn Anas, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “The Sunnah is like the Ark of Noah. Whoever boards it will be saved, and whoever does not board it will drown.”

This is a conversation between Dr. Omar Zaid and Abdul Karim. They are ENGAGING in a chat/discussion with each other. They are both learning from each other. It is a mutual agreement between the two men to make their videos publicly available, again, courtesy of Dr. Omar & Abdul Karim.
Dr. O asks a few questions, makes a statement, sets up a question, and Abdul picks up from there.
As far as "straight-forward" material. You're probably best off searching for white papers, scientific papers, journals, books etc,. that are formatted, generally speaking, in a straight-forward manner. Sometimes not being able to follow a discussion/book/paper doesn't mean they are not being straight forward, most of the onus is on the student.

"If you are in doubt of what we have revealed to our servant (Muhammad), then produce only one chapter comparable to this book; and call your witnesses or helpers to help you, if there are any besides Allah to assist you; if what you say be true. But if you fail to do so, and certainly you will fail, then fear the Fire whose fuel is man and stones prepared for the unbelievers.” (2:23-24)
These are the verses of Allāh which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement (hadith) after Allāh and His verses will they believe? (45:6)
And the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) will say: “O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Quran (neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and orders). (25:30)

So you are basically faced with a choice here ... Either you accept that Hadith you mentioned as truth and reject the following verses. Or you accept the following verses as truth and reject the Hadith. Because they are in clear contradiction to each other.. Up to you
      Al-An'am 6:114
      English - Sahih International
[Say], "Then is it other than Allāh I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.
      Al-Ma'idah 5:44
Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allāh] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allāh, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price [i.e., worldly gain]. And whoever does not judge by what Allāh has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers

Whoever obeys the Messenger has truly obeyed Allah. But whoever turns away, then ˹know that˺ We have not sent you ˹O Prophet˺ as a keeper over them.
      (Surah 4:80)
And whoever defies the Messenger after guidance has become clear to them and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will let them pursue what they have chosen, then burn them in Hell-what an evil end!

@@zafster22 the recipients of the Quran in the time of Muhammad had no book. They only had a blessed man in front of them speaking holy words that were revealed to him piece by piece. If the verses said " obey god" or judge by what God says ,... " Wouldn't they say , "we already are!" .. we have the Torah or whatever our fathers were on! Please consider the possibility that the command to obey the messenger and judge by what the messenger rules MEANS OBEYING THE MESSAGE and accepting the Quran now as the final word that was brought down through him to them and all of us. Read those verses again and see how it will all make sense now from this lens without having to REJECT any one verse. He himself tells us that he only made judgements based on this Quran. If you really want to follow him shouldn't you do the same? Wouldn't doing anything different mean that you are NOT following him and obeying him? Food for thought.

Because as a rasul the responsibility is to deliver the quran without corruption including the rasul's own interpretation. As a nabi, he was a nabi for the israelites not the followers of the quran. He was the last nabi for the torah as the torah was lost, but with the quran he was a rasul and he is prohibited to provide additional understanding from the quran as the understanding is to be delivered by Allah directly to the student of the quran.

Concerning this "problematic" hadith: First of all you quoted it wrong. It doesnt say "On judgment day" and it doesnt say "O Prophet". It says "Before judgment day i.e in the end times (which apparently have already started) the muslims will be fighting with the jews (which is already happening) and the jews will hide behind trees and every tree will say: "Oh muslim, behind me is a jew, come and kill him", except the Gharqad tree (which is being planted on mass in "Israel" right now, because they know this prophecy is true).
Secondly, Allah (Praised and Exalted he is) confirms this in sura 5:82, when he says:
"You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and polytheists and the most gracious to be those who call themselves Christian. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not arrogant."
Allah (Praised and Exalted he is) is making clear that in the end times there will be an alliance between a majority of the jews (i.e the zionists) and the mushrikeen (i.e the secular west) against the muslims and that a group of christians (i.e the orthodox christians) will be our allies. We can see that already happening in the oppression in the holy land and also in the holy war that Russia and the Chechens are currently fighting against the devils of the west and their zionist masters in Ukraine.
Please, for Allahs Sake, you too are intelligent, educated men. Dont fall into the trap of quranism. Its just another devilish trap to lure muslims into extremism and disbelief, just like salafism and other extremist ideologies. Repent and come back to Allah (Praised and Exalted he is) and the sunna of the Prophet (Allahs greetings and blessings be upon him).
And btw, I am a Maliki and I agree with you that the sunna has to be judged on the quran and Im pretty sure that Imam Maliks approach of validating the customs of medina over certain ahadith is right. But we cant throw away the whole sunna just because some (or most) scholars got it wrong. If you have any questions on the Maliki Madhab feel free to ask me and I will be glad to help according to my knowledge.
