Another animation tip, to make a character more appealing, is to have their eyes blink whenever they turn their head. A simple fix, and it makes such a huge difference. Or whenever you change from one big expression to another. Now for the master class, add a tilt down to the head during the blink to really sell the idea. You might think that this seems excessive for a simple concept. But fam, it makes the character so much more alive with these small details.

For a human being to make a video and seriously tell me that this tiny small change in how someones head turns, SINGLE HANDEDLY SAVED an entire movie is wild.
I always thought that was a nod to Peter Weller as Robocop. Motion capture is an actor and a director working together to create and do service to the character. Hiring artists??? In a movie??????? Nahhhh that's crazyyyy

vfx artists
Ye unfortunately
yeah its starting to be
Ai artists are replacing all the real ones, and people wonder Who everthting nowadays feels so souless and empty
When I first saw that head turn, I instantly knew it was the greatest film ever made
So this entire time the iron man suit was just doing a light skin stare?!?!?
Lols!!!
That head turn RIZZED ME UP
This is the type of subtlety that you will lose with the adoption of AI in mediums like this.
"It's one of the most obvious examples of why you hire artists"
Bingo!
Bro rizzed me up w that turn fr 🔥
bro i thought i got a discord notification
Thats my favorite part of being a 3D animator. Small subtle movements can change how an animation looks.
"you can't show emotion through a helmet"
yes, yes you can, I can feel the intimidation from the head turn
It shows that Iron man doesn't see you as a threat. you are just something to be dealt with and he has enough time to do so.

That’s really cool. If I do it myself and twist my shoulders before moving my head, it feels a little unnatural but also very suave

"IF YOU WANT IT, GIRRLL COME AND GET IT!!"
Okay that’s actually interesting. I think they ended up using that in many more Marvel movies.

OMG i h8 it man ppl say artist aren't important but if we all where gone ppl would struggle hard
It’s a very nice detail and props to the artist, but my mans was hyping it like he invented a whole new technique for this film
Went from "target found" to "there you are. get your ass here."

My god the captions.

Its accurate bcs the helmet is heavy which makes it slower for ironman to turn his head
