This is a very important moment in the history of the reef aquarium trade! Who would imagine that many of us would live to see this man sending his wonderful corals out of Fiji again???? Who would imagine that he would even be there fighting for the hobby up to this date?? The Smiths dedicated their whole life to the trade. He didn't mention a lot of other major and minor difficulties he went through daily in all this. It is so unfortunate that Jake isn't here to enjoy this moment. The other great event happening right now is the revision of coral nomenclature. I just hope I will be alive to see the end of their work they're doing. Metal halides are being used more and more. I wouldn't be surprised if new companies would start making new fixtures, ballasts and lamps. Well... we need a company to supply the bulbs in the first place! What about the amazing excitement that is happening with coral spawning??? Oh boy! Anyways... very exciting times! All the best to Walt, his family and his workers!! Power to the corals from Fiji! So beautiful! Let's make this year special in many ways. Best to Reef Builders and Reef Therapy as well! Aloha!

Great to see Walt - hoping they come to Europe and I REALLY think visiting coral farms and finding a way to select corals and paying through importers so we can have them in our tanks would be AMAZING!

When I started in the hobby, my first love rock and corals came from Chris Wray at reefermadness back in 2004. I believe that is Walt’s son in law, they always had the best rock and corals! I look forward to seeing all of Walt efforts finally come to fruition. Can’t wait to what comes in!

7 months ago i set up a reef tank in preparation for my baby daughter to be born. (She’s now 1.5 months)
I’m afraid its been a few years since i had a reef tank up and i’m currently struggling to get it to thrive
I would love to do an ICP test on her 30 gallon tank and see just how bad I messed things up haha
