It's beneficial for masters to teach others how to play, even give them their secrets, because they've already mastered them. The person they're teaching has yet to. The game isn't just about winning... it's about being challenged and still winning. Easy wins aren't fun.

Played pokemon since red/blue. I’m 26. I’ve always brought cards. Even after watching this I still have no idea how to play the card game haha
Lol 26 as well. Used to play the game back when it was in the vending machines in the grocery and pharmacy stores in queens NY where I grew up the first half of my life. Was a lot of fun. When I was 8 back in 2003 😊 Collected from 2000 on. My gma has a whole binder of my old cards I need to check them out still. But I started to collect again almost 2 years ago 💛
Same! I’m 21 and play the hell out of the Gen1-4. Still got no clue about card battles. Gen 5 I barely play. Gen 6 is to easy.
It’s easy to learn if you ever played yugioh or magic
Took me like 3 days to get the hang of it, I’m definitely no pro, don’t know how to build good decks just know the basics

One thing I think really went wrong with the trading cards is just how busy the artwork on the new designs is
The classic pokemon is simple and beautiful
But I can't help but feel put off of the newer cards by how complicated and extravagant they try to make them look

I haven't played TCG in like 15 years, and the game has changed a lot. I can see now that matches are much quicker, with all the drawing several cards during your turn, prizes, and hard hitters. Interesting
Did you play in 2006 that format seems like fun I haven’t played it but want to. I understood why you haven’t since because the following format wasn’t as good. There was a lot more drawn out turns and even tho 2prizers existed not every deck relied on them and rockets admin.
@@fastmaker9091 Yeah. I actually liked it when it used to be a much slower game. I just lost interest in the TCG overall and now only play the video games.
I tried to get into VGC but I never got hooked like the TCG. I know some people go from the TCG to VGC.

I'm so excited to get back into the tcg. I've quit about 10 years ago. Have 2 of my 4 decks ready to go. Sad part is the tournaments are still not going on in the netherlands. So hopefully soon I'll get to play my decks! (Have my decks ready for half a year. Quarantine time sucks)
There are some locals here and there also in the netherlands. But they are still far and between indeed.

I was gonna get into the tcg so I made a full fairy deck but it was hard since the stopped making them so I had to go off my old cards and it didn't work out that well so I just didn't use it
