- Not ALL travel days can be glamorous! We decided to intentionally try sleeping at a truck stop on our epic 1000 mile trip from Albuquerque NM all the way to Yosemite National Park in California! It was definitely an adventure in itself! do we regret it? Watch til the end to find out!
Next time: all you had to do was drive west 1/8 mile down the road to FR171 and make a right. You could’ve stayed there for free! The only sounds you would’ve maybe heard was the cows mooing.
*FRANTICALLY* noted 😅😅😅 Thank You!! 😅🤘🏻
I love how you count on your fingers. I've never seen anyone do it like that. Also, cade is a whole mood
Have always and will always count on my fingers for literally everything 🤣 Cade is ALWAYS a whole mood. Watch out 😎🥰
Hint stay at flying j if possible they have rv parking out front away from the trucks and fuel up area at most for rvs also try boon dockers.
Thank you! We’ve utilized boon dockers before, and didn’t have another truck stop for too many more miles than we wanted to drive 😅
I've been a truck driver for 23 years. I can't sleep without the noise.
The generator noise was actually soothing! 🤣 we can see how you’d get used to it! You rock! Thanks for your service!
I slept in truck stops for years the worst thing is one of two things one is having a livestock truck park next to you and the second is a truck with an old noisy refer unit running all night other then that I slept like a baby
Haha we can imagine in those situations! Other than the air breaks for us, the hum of all the engines and generators was soothing 🥰
20 for no hook ups and just a parking spot, ah nope!
Great video ! We are new subscribers - this is a good story - we try to avoid truck stops if at all possible, mainly like you say - it's noisy and it is for the trucks - they need it. On the rare occasion we have used a truck stop we have had a few unhappy looks... Thanks for sharing this - we look forward to tracking your trip to Yosemite :)
Thank you so much for being here & subscribing! Grateful to have you along for the adventures 🤩🥰🤘🏻
You cracked me up. Air breaks phewsssss .
I was trying to give you an accurate depiction of what it was actually like 😂😅😅
Cade was killing me this episode 😂😂😭😍 such a big boy now!!!
Still smells like a baby 🥰😭🤩
Haven't yet experienced travel where you're not rushing to get there. To just drive 6 hours in a day it's so much safer in the easier on both your body and your vehicle but I think I'd rather put a couple more hours into the voyage to get there sooner. Just my personal prerogative I would definitely rather spend more time at the destinations than getting there. Obviously you're way works for you and that's wonderful keep up the great videos
That’s the beauty of Fulltime travel! You have as much time as you need to take on the road as well as a ton of time at the destination you’re heading to 🥰
Thanks for being here for the adventures! We appreciate you!
As a truck driver, it's damn near impossible to find parking sometimes. We operate at all times of the day and are legally required to park before our hours are up. I'm glad you didn't encourage RVers to do this. If RVs start clogging up truck stops, there's going to be more than just unfriendly looks. There's going to be downright ugly words.
Just sayin'....
We appreciate your service! Just sharing an option & a way for all of us to share the road peacefully 🥰
--I only watched to see what a night in a truck stop is like as about to head on 3k rv trip. It seems you'r hamming it up mtoo much for the camera. Painful to watch. Justt my nickels worth
Thanks for stopping by! ✌️
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
As a long time trucker, where parking and places to safely get off the road are zero for our required breaks, please don't encourage fellow rv people to use truck stops. Please park elsewhere as suggested, and be respectful to truckers, you will have much more than unhappy looks honestly otherwise. Thanks.
