I was just in Europe for 3 weeks, blue zones, Sicily, nobody drinks water. I was always drinking the most water but I was often peeing yellow in the beginning. But often the water I did drink was from ancient underground aquaphors via the mountains and volcanos. It tasted so good. I ate oil, bread, pasta, and ill be honest i was not vegan. I ate what the old Sicilian women cooked for me and it was SO good and i felt really good, energized, hydrated. I wasnt shoveling it in, I ate just enough to be satisfied. Also we ate fruit AFTER every meal and i had no issues with digestion. Ive lost about ~8lbs on the scale the past month.
Coming back from the trip my diet has shifted a bit, Im still eating high carb, fruits, pastas and noodles, veggies but a little more fat and instead of force feeding myself 3000+ cals im having closer to 2000 n i feel just as satisfied, maybe even better now that im not stressing about undereating or too much oil/fat. Lowkey i think some of us who came from eating disorters got so attached to the idea of “smashing it in” that i was eating to maintain a higher bmi than i wanted. And now that ive been eating less and maybe also drinking less water, just consuming less, and actually moving intensely as well, im finally losing the extra weight.

Also, im half Italian/Sicilian so it could make sense that eating traditional Italian and Sicilian cuisine works for me and makes me feel the best. Starting to think there is something to that.

Yeah not sure how diets went from 2700 cals for women, 3200 for men in the 1940s to eating what they recommended for toddlers in 1940 as our current calories and we are fatter than they were. It also isn't like our lives aren't as stressful if not more. I think stress plays a role more than calories do.

Water is tricky. I try to cut it out but end up going back to it. People think that its as simple as "drinking when youre thirsty" but theres such a large scale between the beginning of "id like a glass of water" versus "Im parched and suffering". Especially when you have a sense of discipline you can really push yourself to far dangerous limits before drinking water. I did this in raw diet days and got kidney stones. It seems best to just experiment to find the ideal dose but also knowing that way more people get hospitalized for dehydration than for overhydration so we know which to be more weary of. God bless you and hopefully one day we will be together with him and not have any worry for these things because he will fulfill us.

You were drinking 2-4 gallons a day??? How the hell did you do that without killing yourself? I didn't even know it was possible to drink that much water and survive! If I was offered 1 billion dollars to drink even 1 gallon of water a day, I couldn't do it. Most days I don't need to drink any water at all, and on days that I do, half a gallon is the maximum that I would need to drink and usually less, and mine is clear or very light yellow.

cole puts a tiny smidgen of baking soda into his snake juice to help out his kidneys. And since you are on board with sugar, his new super snake juice formula is: 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp no-salt, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 4 TBP table sugar into a liter or half liter of water. Like a preworkout energy drink. Golden pee happens when you have excess B vitamins too.
