That stiffness comes from the linemen Shank/midsole. That’s essentially a double midsole + the insole. You got put some wear on them to get it to confirm to your foot. Those boots are built like tanks.

I have a pair of Tanned Waxed Flesh Falcons from Nick's. I've found that if I use Saphir Renovator on them that the waxed texture tend to hold up. Now it depends on whether you want that worn look or not? But for me the Falcons are my weekend boots. And I like to keep them as new looking as possible. I've had them for over a year. Aside from a few small areas here and there? Well they look almost like they did they day I got them. I love waxed flesh. Very abrasion resistant, very water resistant, and they tend to roll and not crease like most all other leathers. I will say my Nick's aren't as supple as you are saying the White's are. It's a stiff boot for sure. But I love em. My Falcons are my favorite pair of boots. Those White's look amazing though. So I think I might get a pair of 350 Cruisers in Cinnamon Waxed Flesh in the future.

Try the kilties from Dale's leather works. They're far superior to the ones from Rose Anvil. The shape of the kilties that Dale makes is kinda like a bulb so it sits much better and does a far superior job of protecting the tongue.

When the tread wears off, have a cobbler sand it down and slap a sierra on. Nice boots!
