    Dear Brother Elliot,
    I want to share with you that a beloved Brother & friend, Russel Fender, passed away last Sunday.
    He was a veteran & a retired police officer, but most importantly, he was a devout Christian for 60 years.
    He was very old school and never bothered with modern technology.
    But when covid happened last year, I convinced him to allow me to get him WiFi and a Roku, just so that I could introduce him to this channel.
    And I want you to know that for the past year, you made this world a better place for both him and his wife.
    He loved, loved, loved, getting up in the morning, turning on a cappella hymns, and listen to your wonderfully gifted voice, singing praises to our Lord.
    It’s been a bittersweet time for me ‘cause selfishly I miss him so much, though I know he’s in a better place now and is not suffering anymore.
    We had many talks about you and this channel. His response always was; “oh, God bless him so much.”
    And well, I just want to say “thank you kindly Brother.”
    Hope you and your family are doing well, staying safe, and blessed in the Lord.
    In Christian love.❤️

    This is a "newer" song for me; I only heard it relatively recently. I am completely captivated by the last verse (your v5). Quite a thought: do we care more for what He gives, or for Him? Truly, the Lamb is ALL the glory of that land!
    Your verses 3 and 4 are new from the ones I've seen.

    • @acappellahymns
      @acappellahymns  Před 3 lety +3

      I got a new audio interface which was the biggest purchase. The new microphone stand was covered about a year ago through GoFundMe. I tried out a different microphone and preamp this past year (also very expensive) but sold them since I didn't see the improvement that I thought I would. Now I'm saving up to replace my aging desktop computer where I do all of my editing, mixing and I'd like to replace my hand-me-down budget laptop that I currently record on but it's less of an issue.
      My wife and I have broke ground on our first house. Basement is nearly dug out and we hope to start on the basement slab in a couple of weeks. So this channel - and associated expenses - will be taking a back seat for a little while once I get the next two recordings out (recorded about 2 months ago). Hope that helps?

      I won't stop recording. It's definitely a passion of mine! But I'll likely need to take a break from it since most of my free time will be spent swinging a hammer! 😄
