  • After the fun and games of the original electronics and the replacement sent by WPL, it was time to give the little Jimny another run out with the Res V3 installed.
    If you fancy getting either a C74 Jimny, a RES V3 setup or any other WPL products, I'd advise using the official store. The service and support are great. Please visit their store using this link as any purchases will give me a tiny commission to help keep the channel going.

    Thanks!

      If you're not too interested in the performance, then get one. The body is lovely and can be put on an Outback Mini X.

      @@rcpie oh nice that's awesome 👍 I do really like the scale and detail of certain models I must admit even if they are not on par with others

    • @jethroboorer2860
      @jethroboorer2860 Před 6 měsíci +2

      Its not that they are not up to par with others its just they are built cheap to help you get into it. That's really what it's for. RTR is enough to drive it around the room that's all.
      Throw the KM stuff and a V3 it's awesome and yeah absolutely not on par with others. The ain't in the same league in terms of scale.
      Need to hold a pair of metal axles to understand

    I was a bit disappointed in my C74 as well, it needed lead weights in the front bumper and brass wheel weights up front just to climb without rolling onto its back. The stock axle cases began to warp early on and I wasn't in a hurry to buy the $40 metal axle upgrade. At the time I also had an MN78 which was basically better in every way, but still more of a "toy", I'm kinda done with Bangood crawlers for now. Thank you for being honest, thats not easy to find on youtube these days.

      I couldn't agree more with your thoughts on the WPL. A nice body and that's it. The chassis and running gear are total poo.

  • @PachezZ
    @PachezZ Před 6 měsíci +2

    That's what I am doing with mine... just using the body which looks absolutely fantastic and I love thats its real 10th scale dimensions-wise... I took the stock one for a test drive and its not good at all.

      @@rcpieprobably custom DIY chassis, gearbox from my GFs RGT jimny(136100v3 which I swapped to accomodate fusion SE) and Capra UTB18 axles - I want it to be "slightly" wider, going for icelandic look with big baloon tires and wide fenders

    • @rcpie

      No. The LC71 is HUUUUGE compared to the little Jimny.

    what figure do you use? how tall is it? is there a purchase link for it?

    • @rcpie
      @rcpie  Před 4 měsíci

      It's just a WWE figure. The men are too big for most trucks but the women fit well with 1:10. You just need to be prepared to get the knife out and cut lots away around the leg and hip joints so that they sit down properly. Their lower legs also need removing; a hairdryer helps with that to soften the plastic.
