From what I remember from 24 years ago. The pattern rector “combo” revolves around attacking with an unblocked husk and sacing a rector/patterened creature to get Symbiotic Wurm, then sacing the wurm and the tokens to the husk. A total of 9 or 10 creatures making the husk a 20/20 or larger damage. The shapeshifter and bombardment allow for a lot of token generation by having the shapeshifter be a copy of the Symbiotic Wurm. Karmic guild, iridescent drake, and carrion feed allow for some redundancy to the deck.

Beautiful decks! I feel like there has to be a chain to go infinite with Bombardement and two Karmic Guides. On a side note: I hate that viewing angle... or the pants.

So pumped to see a Sunscape Familiar deck. I think that card is tragically underplayed.
Edit: Ok, the only thing cleaner than that foiled out Treva deck is its pilot’s board. If only everyone tapped that cleanly. Mad props.

Am I missing something or does the Treva list have 62 cards in the main deck. Is that by design?

Good catch, looks like it is 62 main. I know David has been playing/tweaking this deck a lot so I'm sure he's got a reason.

Why play phantatog instead of just wild mongrel? Has he even got enchantments to sac? A 3 drop 1 power is pretty bad even in premodern

0:27 - Phantatog works with Parallax Tide in a similar manor as Stifle or Disenchant. You can sac the Tide to the tog with the Tide's exile triggers on the stack to permanently exile the target lands. Not sure it's the best option, but it is a body that can slowly close out games still.
