Matt's dad is George Bellamy, guitarist from The Tornados, so music was always all around him. He started playing piano at 6, and guitar at 13. He's self-taught in both.

Hey Wolfies! Bloody love Muse have seen them live about 50 times(no exaggeration) followed then since 2005/6. Sunburn is a huge favourite of mine as I'm a massive fan of Matt on the piano... This whole set was amazing I remember watching it on TV live and knew I had to see them, 5 concerts later and still one of my favourite live acts.
Matt is self taught on piano and guitar but his dad was in the tornados whos biggest hit was Telstar which is what Knight of Cydonia is based on
And it was the first UK band to top the US charts was “Telstar” in 1962
