Just ordered my Bafung 750 from Electro bike world..Told them in the order I heard about them from Citizen Cycle about 2 weeks and I should have it and will install asap. Been using the Bolton upgraded controller while I am waiting for the real 750 to arrive and it makes a hell of a difference. My Rad is no longer a Rad its a Tank Beast have customized the heck out of it.. Bluetooth Bose Speaker System, Amber Front Running Lights/ Red/Blue Flashing light below tail light.. Last additions will be a 52 jump in battery, and Hydraulic Calipers . s always Thanks to Citizen Cycle for making all these awesome videos Please keep them coming !!!
I got two of the same headlights side by side on my extension bar, when I’m out at night I have them both flashing, cars can see me for miles👍 I’m all about the safety of being seen, I also got the plug and play hydraulic brakes from Bolton E bikes, let’s face it these bikes are heavy motorcycles, slow but motorcycles none the less, hydraulic stopping power is a must, though I have to admit stock brakes are very good too , stocks already saved my life when a car cut in front of me and stopped, and I went sliding in on a wing and fast prayer. I only got the Bolton brakes cause I’m a old 65 year old retired upgrade nut, and I like adding to my beloved 2019 RadRover.

glad you enjoy the videos, it seems a lot of ebikes are backordered currently, not sure if its a big rush to buy them, or problems getting stuff out of china. you'll have it for most of the summer though. i have never regretted buying my Rover.

Thank you for the work you put into your videos. There really very informative. This could be my first electric bike purchase but I’m really looking hard at the rad rover. Getting up in age and recently sold my MC so the itch to ride is back. Comfort is a key for me and your seat looks like a soft ride. I may have missed it what could you comment on your handlebar. I really like how they ride back sorta like my old MC. appreciate all the feedback and I’m sure all riders out there appreciate your time in doing so. E well.
I had that kind of phone holder... my phone is a bit big like allot are now and that rubber thing wont stretch safely. GUB pro 3 holds my pixel 6 with otterbox defender case super securely. You cannot remove it without loosening the screws that hold it in place.
I like the original rad fenders that had the retro look. But then, I am an old man..... No longer pushing 65, now Im pulling. Got the aeropex bone conduction headphones cuz hate stuff in my ears and I can still hear what's going on around me when I'm cruising the foothills of Maine between brewpubs mumbling to myself or jamming to some Little Feat

Kevin Lavin - I actually attended a class on this when I was still a cop... There have been MANY studies on this topic due to the unbelievable amount of ROADSIDE DEATHS caused by vehicles suddenly veering off the road & crashing into tow trucks, police cars, ambulances, etc (Vehs w/ TONS of safety/warning lights for MAX visibility)... It’s been scientifically proven that INTOXICATED DRIVERS are the issue... They tend to stare at the bright blinking lights for some reason and unconsciously steer toward them as they approach... Many believe it’s just the “looky-loo” syndrome with a healthy splash alcohol abuse mixed in that causes this, others believe it’s the drunk driver’s guilt or concern that the flashing lights ahead will result in his/her apprehension... Either way, there was NOTHING found to solidify the claim that average sober drivers (with no mental/physical impairments) will veer toward these same roadside lights. In fact, these same studies showed that it was THE OPPOSITE and that sober drivers will NOT typically have this reaction. The only ATYPICAL hazard found w sober driver would be them attempting to switch over to the left lane to avoid passing too closely to the lights without properly confirming there’s room to causing nearby vehicle flow to be interrupted. This study was done when considering whether or not the universal UPGRADE TO LED EMERGENCY LIGHTING as the highway minimum standard was better or worse for traffic safety... The verdict??? Got my bike about 2 weeks ago. Love your videos. Ordered the mirrors you mentioned but after removing the grip ends, there isnt anything for the mirrors to screw in to. Am I missing something? Gracias senor
My first nighttime riding experience with my rad5. As noted by everyone, the stock light is dismal. So, I purchased the victagen headlight, 5000 lumens. It comes with a USB to C charger. Does anyone know if there is a plug and play connector that I can get to fit the existing connector? I don’t know what the name of that connector is either.
Listening to Bolton Bikes video on the controller upgrade, I had the impression you would void the warranty....you could always contact Rad Power bikes to confirm it. Ride Rad 😀

I did not notice the stock motor heating up at all and I ended up taking the stock motor out and swapping in a true 750 motor shortly after the controller upgrade anyway
Question: I have a 1000 Ecotric Hammer, 48 Volt, I want to use a 52 volt battery with. Is there any reason why the 48 volt controller would be damaged by this?
Any tips on how to put those spoke liner onto the spoke? They are really tight and then hard to finish putting it on when two spokes cross path within the wheel.
best method i found was to put each end of the spoke cover on and work your way towards the middle where the spokes cross. then with one hand apply some pressure to the spokes to separate them a little and with the other hand roll or rotate the spoke skin, it should slip on fully then. its a little tricky.

Trying to get the spoke skins on my bike. The spokes are really tight and even with a lot of pressure won’t separate enough to fit a spike skin between them. Any suggestions?
Best method I found was to work each end towards the point where the spokes cross. Then use one hand to push the spokes apart a little bit while rotating the skin with the other hand.
they are a pain, i work from each end towards the middle where spokes cross, then using 1 hand push the spokes apart a little and with the other hand spin the skin.
Do you think the thule yepp maxi child seat be compatible to this bike? or any other child seat? I like to have this bike but I want to ride with my kid too.
if you have the rad style rack it fit all rad bikes i have a rad mini step thru kids seat is a must if you have kids my 18 month niece and 3 year old really enjoy it
The Rad Rover is a specific model of ebike from www.radpowerbikes.com/ You can purchase them online and they ship them to you for no extra cost if you are located in one of the contiguous 48 states. They have a store in Seattle, Washington, but do most of their business online. You can get on their email list from their website.
Get you some ape hanger handlebars so you can add more crap! Bike needs a big watch and a dog chain...maybe a gun holster..back rest and some foot pegs out front... dont forget a flag...should be well over 100 pounds then...
Rad is an old mans bike! I think that is intentional. That they target that group of let’s not say old men but “mature buyers”. The youngsters are a fickle game! I wish that Rad would develop a bike in their line up that targets the younger hipster set. A lot of where your going is for that relevant contemporary look. Whoa! Just saw the demo on the head light what a difference! Well any way hope Rad kicks the “old men” out of there design department (just keep the ones with experience on quality). Quality definitely being Rads strong point.
The only thing I can really suggest is a proper suspension seatpost, adding a Suntour is the best thing I ever did to the bike.

Do you have a suggestion on bike locks? Cafe locks fit the fat tire? Will the kryptonite gravity wheel locks work with this bike?

I have a simple bike lock, I pretty much never let it out of my sight, no insurance on it. And I carry a hand pump, old fashioned 😁

if you have the rad style rack it fit all rad bikes i have a rad mini step thru kids seat is a must if you have kids my 18 month niece and 3 year old really enjoy it

pop the plastic plug out of the handlebars, insert mirror, tighten allen head bolt, done

The Rad Rover is a specific model of ebike from www.radpowerbikes.com/ You can purchase them online and they ship them to you for no extra cost if you are located in one of the contiguous 48 states. They have a store in Seattle, Washington, but do most of their business online. You can get on their email list from their website.

Get you some ape hanger handlebars so you can add more crap! Bike needs a big watch and a dog chain...maybe a gun holster..back rest and some foot pegs out front... dont forget a flag...should be well over 100 pounds then...
Rad is an old mans bike! I think that is intentional. That they target that group of let’s not say old men but “mature buyers”. The youngsters are a fickle game! I wish that Rad would develop a bike in their line up that targets the younger hipster set. A lot of where your going is for that relevant contemporary look. Whoa! Just saw the demo on the head light what a difference! Well any way hope Rad kicks the “old men” out of there design department (just keep the ones with experience on quality). Quality definitely being Rads strong point.
