In this slice of vlog, we visit Sree’s hometown, Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh, to attend a family pooja followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch that also included a divine ghee pongal prepared over a ceremonial fire as naivedyam. It was also nice to see age-old customs and traditions celebrating the womenfolk of the house. We also caught a quick Krishnagiri breakfast, (actually I did, Sree was fasting!) along the way.

Its called "Mangali Pondugal" in tamil - In this function, married females of the family run the functions, food is served first to them, they are given the precedence in all formalities, this is done everytime we have some major function - Respect. Sree mam must have been known to these already

What a delightful session of Pooja and Prasada.
Kuppam is actually the centre of a Triangle formed out of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamilnadu in yes of culture and diaspora.
In a way this get together was a culmination of Telugu and Kannada phrases and of course Tamil dialogues spoken All at the same time.
All in all a very satisfying episode. Looked like we were in the days of the Vijayanagara Empire where Kannada and Telugu were spoken with equal aplomb and respect. Long live Kripal-Sree, Long Live Kannada-Telugu Saamipyam.

It's quite natural that the moment we lose the initial impression of a restaurant in terms of anything ( hospitality, arrangements, unavailability of a preferred dish or even bees or flies around etc....etc....) Is more than sufficient to trigger an irritation or frustration within ourselves....thereby causing a damage to our earlier opinion about the restaurant..... 😊

Good showcase of our tradition, food, reason to do it was well captured and narrative by Boss and Kripal was excellent. We enjoy your show as much as you enjoy food. Kudos to all on camera and behind the work.

Loved the way women are respected. Also liked the way entire family celebrated the festival together and thus keep the age old traditions alive. Nice!

@Kripal, loved the narration, kuppam or south india, we see lot of similarities. You should make a series on custom food prepared by different cultures. It would be interesting and educational to next generation.

Very nice vlog. Everybody looking traditionally. Nawadays people are forgotten the traditional system they are comercialised. So these type of vlogs will remember our traditional systems. Food is good. Very spiritual.

TN is famous for 100% coffee and few places serve chicory blend. In Karnataka MTR serves 100% coffee. Only Kumbakonam degree coffee has some chicory for strength.
