@@TheFallLover There's a mental health crisis that needs to be addressed. Not only in young adults but in adults too. You can disagree all you want but that doesn't make you right. Hitting your kids make some scared of you. You shouldn't have to fear someone to respect them. Respect is earned. I still don't have a great relationship with my parents. It's something that's long lasting. I'm literally traumatized. I bet if you had kids they would be too.

Correct. but what she's doing, is giving a warning and giving them an alternative to conflict. if the warning is ignored, I would give time out or a consequence connected to the action, such as trowing toys and toy goes away and so on.

Ok, this is the second video I have seen by this creator. This is straightforward, realistic and LOVING discipline. ❤️ That 'are you ready to be happy?' video was scary and creepy AF. Children need and can with time, understand what is right and wrong and why something is right and wrong like in this video. There is no need to trick a child into 'happiness' and into appeasing you. The wiser they become, the more they'll see the trickery and rebel!

The frustration and anger they feel is real. I wouldn't force them to have physical contact after a confrontation. Decompression takes a while, even for emotionally stable adults.
The other aspects is that they can and will fight. Redirecting those actions rather then suppressing them so they culminate into an avalanche later- is another popular technique.
Kids fight. They test boundaries. Girls, boys- both are known to wrestle and rough house as a way of play.
Trust you intuition. You'll know when it's play vs when it's malevolent.

You dont even explain why hitting is bad or wrong or why they shouldnt do it, and youre talking to them in the worst way. Never put emotions into the lesson youre trying to teach. Anger and intimidation helps know one. Gentle parenting isnt just being nice and doing whatever your kids want, its talking to them in a way they can understand without letting your own emotions get in the way. Ask them what it feels like when they get hit, ask them if they want to make someone feel that way, dont just say hitting bad it make momyy angry so you dont do get it? Theyre a lot smarter than you treat them

Most children generally cant concentrate and listen as easily when a parent is trying to get them to look them in the eyes.
As we as parents all will be able tk relaye to, the amount of times we have a conversation with someone else, thinking our child isnt listening to a word of it and next thing you know they are repeating the full conversation, VS trying to get them to look you dead in the eye while explaining something of a seroous matter. They will hear key words but mostly be focused on a feature on your face while making sure they dont break contact and get in trouble again.
Its been proven the eye contact thing doesnt help for most.
