- Follow me on a strange day out which ended up with me buying a 1977 MGB GT after i was only meant to go and collect it for DAVE !
What a beaut 👍 reminds me of my trusty Black Pig. 1979 MGBGT.
So funny how everyone used to hate the striped seats, but now they look super when in good order.
A kind word of warning which you may know anyway, but it could save months of nightmares. IF the engine ever starts to smoke a lot, change the PCV valve with a good quality replacement. It could save you re-building the engine and finding it still smokes. Learnt from 44 years in the motor trade. The first time I came accross this problem was 1983.
I think this can be summarised as a ... Result!

Don't laugh at the colour of those seats. They're practically the colour scheme of my teenage bedroom in the seventies.
Someone's spent a lot of money, new carbs , rad etc. Not a bad runabout no road tax too pay, no mot and cheap classic insurance .Might be a keeper with some seat covers.

Had a few GT's and supposedly better cars since.... TVR's Benz SL's etc but the MG's have something special. Will definitely get another one day, best cars !

@@timrobinson2984 Baldy here, unless you count nasal hair!! I had a Midget about 10 years ago. It was a hoot! Almost never put the roof up!

They all had two. SU's I think USA spec cars had a single Stromberg. But not 100% sure about USA specs.
US spec were all single Stromberg from 75, but UK market stayed with 2 SU’s
