I never realized how necessary the plot rundown is until this episode. I love their chaos, but that very basic structure felt needed here.

This show is not nearly as good when they skip the plot. They miss so much and it kinda feels aimless. Love the boys none the less.

I enjoy it either way but I get what you mean. I think they are trying it without the plot because people complain about that too so either way damned if you do damned if you dont
I disagree. The plot goes on way too long and is better when they discuss what they like instead of the details of the plot.
What I like about the plot recap is it let's them go on tangents about all the little things in the movie. I liked this video, but all the points they make are the same points every other critic has made about Batman and Robin.

The surprise addition of Catwoman is the best super hero twist I have ever witnessed. Bravo how will I be able to wait a week with that cliffhanger.
Batgirl took 20 tries to guess Alfred's password, but when Batman told her that only a computer genius could work the satellites in time to reheat Gotham, she was the person for the job.
Greg at the end is the polar opposite of him during the "Rockin Robin" bit. This man went on a rollercoaster.

When Batman in review was announced, I was beyond excited for the Batman & Robin episode. So many opportunities for comedic gold

My first thought upon hearing a batman in review was coming was "holy sh!t i 👏 cannot 👏 wait 👏 for the boys to rip Batman & Robin to SHREDS."
While i would have liked a plot summary (kf-style), i get it.

I thought the exact same thing, the dark pheonix episode is one of the best lol, but it seems nowadays for the bad movies they just wanna end the content asap, which i get i wouldnt wanna watch nor talk about such a terrible movie, but it would be nice if they did the plot and all cuz we miss those mo.ents of comedy gold

Completely agree. It organizes there thoughts on scenes which I like more than they let's just jump around to random parts and moments.
My guess is they'll return to it after they finish the bad movies. Greg has said before that it's a slog when the plot is nonsense

My choice would be Bryan Cranston as Mr Freeze and Jessica Chastain as Poison Ivy. That would be excellent casting.

Whoa that was fast! Just got done watching this on Twitch probably ten minutes ago.
Boys please keep the plot on these shows! especially for movies that are complete trash, the plot run downs for those are the funniest parts of the show and thats one of the main things that makes in review so unique and original.
A childhood guilty pleasure movie I still have some level of fondness for, just like Power Rangers, MK Annihilation, Street Fighter, etc. Mr. Freeze was so cool and there was a consistent pace of action/spectacle with little down time.
The ice variant is secretly one of my favorite batsuits, but I understand why people hate it lol.

Do they not realize that Batman 66, as well as its show, was a comedy? Adam West signed on because the script was one of the best comedies he ever read. I feel many people don't understand that. The Schumacher films, however, are just bad. The best thing about them is how INCREDIBLY GAY they are.

I always interpreted "the Grey" as the melancholy of the Batman. His mission and his depression is impacted by the relationship between himself and his various love interests.

My brother to this day has an old coin bank from this movie that quotes a speech Batman gives to Freeze and the blows his cape. We have home movies where I just pressed the button ad nauseum all Christmas Day. That’s shit is a core memory for me and tim is totally right that the toys from this movie were amazing.

Greg im so with ya, as i was in DCEU in review, anybody who even has an inkling of a thought that BvS is worse than this trashfire is absurd.

The Smashing Pumpkins song at the end of this has another version that's more quiet and slower. It's a great song, differently titled the Beginning is the End is the Beginning. They ended up using it for the Watchmen film because they thought it was wasted on this. Still not as good as anything on their first 4 albums though.

I know they don’t always want to do the plot but that’s always the beat part. I get it’s a lot of work if you don’t feel motivated but that’s always when the best content between the guys comes out.

2) That song is not even from this movie. This movie’s crazy song was the nonsensical “Gotham City” by R. Kelly which featured lyrics like, “We all need, Gotham City. A City of love, A City of peace.”? Since when was corrupt Gotham City EVER a City of love and peace?!?

@@tullerusk987 all the short content lately. Annabelle in review at like 55 minutes, kf podcast at an hour and 5 minutes, and the reviews for two hilariously awful movies at an only hour and a half each.

I think the clooney batsuit had the potential to be great. I like how they toned down the abs a bit from Forever(I still think the abs are too much) and the cowl looks pretty decent depending on the angle of the shot. The gauntlets and fins look really cheap though and of course the nipples are terrible. If you fix those things I think it would be a lot more fondly remembered. Maybe improve the coloring like Tim said too.

Tim is dead wrong about Val and George. Val Kilmer brought nothing to the role. George at least presents an aloof demeanor. He slouches a bit, doesn't make eye contact unless the need to is recognized, he's at ease with Alfred but poised with journalists and solemn while suited up as Batman. He's a totally serviceable Bruce Wayne/Batman and easily competes with Keaton. Val didn't seem to have the first idea of who the character was, he just put the costume on and said the lines that were fed to him.

Such a bummer there's no plot for this or Batman Forever. That's where so many jokes come from In Review. Really hoping the guys go back to doing the plot, because without it the show just feels like a mess.
