- The new "Lions of the North" immersion pack is coming soon to EU4, bringing loads of new flavor to the Scandinavian and Baltic region! For this series, we'll be playing with a classic: Sweden. Their new mission tree promises to be loads of fun, in addition to new great projects and unique infantry! While we're at it, let's hunt some achievements, shall we?

The miracle that gets you across to Sjæland doesn't happen until February 1658. So you just have to wait 200 years and go across from the south. 😁
Since you aren't creating a truce between Poland and Livonia through your war, I'd have expected you to basically pick the three Southern provinces, Riga, then Narwa and Liefland to round it off.
Sweden I fear no man, except Prussia.
,,Freaks out, because Poland has a vassal Prussia” this is historically accurate until Poles lost to Brandenburg and it conquered Prussia and unsurped it’s title
Pew, Pew, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, and Grubb
Archking means he has bigger stick up his rearside than normal peasant king
I doubt you will get this in time.. but you can complete Novgorod's missions and get a RUSSIN Vassal
Novgorod has so many missions for claims across all of Russia. You annexed a vassal while doing a diplo idea.. subjects are op. You should keep them
Praise Pravus! He has brought Norway under rightful Swedish rule!

Another great upload
Great episode.
This seems like the perfect video to have on in the background as I play EU4 myself. Except that the sound effects make things confusing at times. :p
U aint sht dont kid yourself lil homie
PRAISE PRAVUS!!!
If you send gold to your colonies do they actually get it or is it just for position option?
Historically speaking Prussia was a duchy under Poland before it got independence
So roars the lion
Since you're playing as Sweden, you should play Lion of the North by Sabaton at least once during this playthrough. If copyright allows, that is.
The song exists as a DLC inside the game, but you aren’t allowed to record the game if it’s enabled.
@@alarabi98 Well that's just stupid. Sabaton probably wouldn't even mind people using it.
@@Sabrasmkk it’s not that Sabaton would be against it, rather their Music label would be.
@@alarabi98 Mmm, true. I forgot how messed up the music industry is in that regard.
You couldve declare war on the island then when you finish with denmark, you could invade the island
Hi pravus what cpu and gpu do you have?
i played as denmark and i became insanely strong in the end
I Just wished i could actually see the UI. On PC it's ok but on mobile it's unbearably small.
yup
Idk why you did not just spam out galleys over force limit. Being over the force limit for navy with just galleys is a very small penalty vs the one for being over army limit. You could even delete transports or the galleys after the war to bring it back down if it bothers you that much. Denmark navy seems more intimidating than it is. Norway is the real naval threat as they have 3 large ships at the start combined with the Danish navy, but they usually stay apart for some reason. The game also tells you if you will get anything from pillaging before you press it by hovering over it. Abuse the shit out of burgher loans as well, 1% interest is better than 4-6% interest, one regular loan basically equals 5 burgher loans for the same amount of money gained.
Nabbing Livonia and Riga should of been priority 1 once Poland can be called in against them. They have a large portion of the trade power locked up in there land, plus you get a free upgrade to the trade hub in Riga with the mission. Taking the event that gives you back crownland at the cost of autonomy was questionable, outright a mistake if you plan on annexing a ton of land rapidly or developing your own. Crownland is really easy to gain back and you are not forced to be stuck at 25% autonomy. Autonomy being high is your main problem for money, even more so early game. Selling titles is also a fantastic way to bolster income for those critical buildings for trade power and hub upgrades. I would not say that 100% of the time it is a bad move to take it, but most of the time it is just bad. Also the malice to autonomy gain when you are not over a certain amount of crownlands is not really a big deal. In general though despite the estate stuff you should always be lowering autonomy, rebels help build army tradition and it can be a MASSIVE boon to your income.
I would argue that outright taking Norway land directly is much better than a PU, though less flavorful for sure. You get absolutely no income from a PU and have to wait a massive 50 years to annex them and not to mention if the nation is developed enough it could take an immense amount of Diplo points and time to annex. Norway being a normal vassal would be better as well. Now if Norway manages to make some colonies as a PU that might make it worth. 50 years is about how long it will take to get colonial investment to start really paying off. PU Portugal as Spain, for example, is amazing if they have exploration ideas cause they will 100% make tons of colonies. Idk how intense the AI for Norway is pushed to make colonies in general. Note: I cannot recall if Sweden mission or event allows instant integration of Denmark and Norway at some point, so if that is the case it changes things. Idk if the formation decision auto annexes the land like it does for forming Spain for example.
Pravus should play more democracy 4. i would love to see a hardest difficulty america run. day 30
or geopolitical simulation 4, it has become sort of ea-like lately but it is still good.
Sverige kämpar mot Danmark. En klassisk historia
Are you going for a Kalmar Union?
He just broke out of it lol
@@talibaninternetexplorer I think he means forming Scandinavia--in which case, the answer would be "yes".

For the love of god my man, read the tooltips, they tell you thing for a reason
Ducal prussia?!?!
I have pretty much no experience in this game someone please explain why prussia is scary and/or OP
I do own the game but I have like 1 hour on it and all is on the tutorials and figuring out what im gonna do
@@clony3094 when Prussia is formed, it can get crazy strong troops with a lot of discipline
Prussia has very strong military focused ideas like 20% morale of armies, 20% infantry combat ability and 5% discipline. They also can get very high army tradition easily. As a result they can recruit ridiculously strong generals. Their military will become one of the strongest in the game. Fortunately they don't exist (yet) in 1444.
@@RoseSolane ok thanks for letting me know and also can you make a comparason to somthing else simpler for my small eu4 brain. Btw i play ck3 so maybe compare their strength to somthing there if you can. Is it like a 1 v 5 and the one guy wins???
@@clony3094 It's like a 1v6 or 1v7 and the one guy wins easily
man, make the UI larger , some bigger font....I stopped cos my eyes was bleeding
30 mins of painfully listening to him 1) talking for the sake of talking without context 2) making super annoying and grating accents. Hard pass going forward.
