    Carlton!! Found you today and wanted to say good job. Some people in the comments want control of your channel. I think this was one of the best interviews I’ve seen but the truth is the CZcams algorithm doesn’t push our type of videos if you know what I mean. The info was good to hear. I think the sisters are different from Americans but still the one doesn’t like that light skinned latinas like the black culture with hair and stuff. That’s racist. My wife is light skinned and loves the black culture. Respects black women as strong and likes to be called negrita. I was wondering about the mindset of blacks here and I don’t see racism in my city. In Colombia it doesn’t seem like blacks killing blacks is a thing. Police pull you over and it’s not for profiling. Racism isn’t huge because they all in the same struggle. Very few people earn more than $300 a month. I think the brown or light skinned women here have just as much curves as black women so the smaller one is a little jealous but that’s women everywhere. They always find a reason to hate. In conclusion us black men are respected in Colombia more by the people the police and especially women so bring your best here when you come leave the hookers alone and find good women and that wouldn’t be at the club for the most part because they will dance with whoever and we ain’t buying that. That’s for the men who want something serious anyways. Good job bro.

      Thanks for taking the time to comment. Some good observations. one of the reason I love Colombia is the fact that I am not scared of the police. I never had an issue with being stopped and treated like a criminal in Colombia. Also no issue with White women grabbing their wallets when I approach. Seems like small things but they add up to a lot better living experience. Colombia has issue with crime etc. However, there is crime in the US as well

    Carlton, do not be disingenuous. You should know most brothers on the videos are with light skin women. Colombia is big and you certainly can visit the places where you can see black women easily.
    No knock on anyone's choices but these women correctly noted their observation and it should be acknowledged. I am glad your friend validated their observation. The thing is a number of us consciously or sub consciously prefer lighter skin women but get triggered if it is brought to our attention.
    Also when the ladies said they notice black Americans prefer white or lighter skinned women, an excellent question would be to ask them why they feel that way. But magically, you just moved on.
    We want the real nitty gritty, let them say exactly what they think and it is up to us to interpret that. In the end, we are all adults and we are free to make our choices with no explanations but we can still enjoy a little uncomfortable conversations.

    • @CarltonsTravelAdventures
      @CarltonsTravelAdventures  Před 2 lety +2

      First thanks for watching. You cannot speak for "most brothers". Correct, we cannot tell other adults who to like or date. None of our damn business. I have spoken about it before. If you are brought up in a certain society you are taught from you get out the womb what is pretty and what is ugly from the media and society in general. We cannot avoid being brain washed. Who do you see on TV and print ads? You are brainwashed from day one. Some recognize it and try to fight. I try to catch myself every day and change my thinking. There also have been many experiments with small children where they choose the White doll over the Black dolls and who they think are ugly vs pretty. Sure you have seen them. I personally look for a pretty Black woman and I know other guys who do as well.

    @muchit3629 Před 2 lety +2

    Carlton i speak minimal Spanish but it is obvious Dwayne is being economical in his translations. We want to hear what they say not necessarily his interpretations.
    Also for better structure tell the ladies one person at a time please. Then your friend can translate and if the other wants to add on then she can and we get the translation. It appears to me when they talk one after another it is hard for him to remember as now he has to deal with the two ladies and you as well.

      Wzup. I was a little nervous of the questions. Man, due you realize some of the response I receive from people. You have to be so careful what you ask and what you say, especially as it relates to race. The first interview video some lady blasted me in a long paragraph for "objectifying the women" because I said they were pretty a few times. I just deleted the damn response. Must have been an American women. She also questioned why I asked them the race question. If you listen to the first interview I never did ask a race question. The ladies answered and added race. jeje

    Hey Carlton. I feel there are a few things that need to be addressed here. There are some men that prefer light skin or mestizo women. BUT, this is not what is really happening. The following will be hard to hear for some. 1st, Black men know fine black women when we see it. In the US there are fine dark skinned women like Kelly Roland, Megan Goode, or Tika Sumpter all over. In Medellin you rarely see fine dark skin sistas unless you go to a club. Then it'll be hard to communicate there. But fine mestizo or light skin women are everywhere. And they are nice and welcoming. They aren't saying they're scared of getting drugged by brothas. Also, I don't see a bunch of european men walking around with these hard to find dark skin sistas either. Do they have a problem too?

      I am African and have been to Colombia 4 times. My impression is people get along well on a daily basis. I have been uptown, downtown and spend time whole days in the Barrios in Medellin and Barranquilla. Never had an issue. To the contrary all people live as neighbors and get along well based on my limited experience .
      The only apparent thing is that most who look like us seem to be struggling so the only likely inference is that access to opportunities is unequal. In a nutshell they have done a great job to minimize overt racism while maintaining a kind of hidden racism.
      Kinda like whats happening with the NFL hiring practices. Its layered and not always apparent.
      Also knowing they are being interviewed they may not want to be seen to be downing their country.

    • @gregorywilson2124
      @gregorywilson2124 Před 2 lety +1

      @@muchit3629 Exactly. Why are almost all blacks poor and desperate? The NFL hiring practices applies to so few people as to be meaningless. I prefer to refer to a hiring practice that affect people's lives every day. That's a much better measure. By the way, NFL hiring practices are not so subtle.
