Distortion doesn't seen to work on shapes and points. Do they work only on media and groups?

It can work on characters, shapes, text - really anything (though I haven't done in depth check).But did check to be sure, and you can definitely use for shapes.

Ya, it works with shapes and even with points. I didn't use the distort icon above the shape to animate, I just tried distorting directly after double clicking.

@RajeshKchennai I’m not sure I completely understand…sorry. But if you want distortion you do need to use that icon. If it’s not there, then isn’t available
You can do the X, Y, and Z as shown in the shapes tutorials. But it does take more resources/heavier. But was all we had before distortion arrived 😊

That isn’t an action of characters in CS, so not possible. In beginnings this was for explainer vids so probably wasn't what they were gong for - but you can always go to support page and choose “feature request” to let team know :)
