over 60 years ago I was a basketball player for my high school in Australia. My coach was the Olympic coach. He organised for our team to play the Harlem Globetrotters who had come out to Australia to play exhibition games. It was the best 40 minutes I had playing these huge guys from the US. We had a great time
My dad took me to a Harlem Globetrotters game when I was a kid. In my 40s now and it's still one of my favorite memories. Those guys put on a helluva show.
Those guys were always class acts. Unlike many NBA players, they loved and appreciated their fans. They didn't forget the reason they were on the court to begin with. NBA players think they're being paid to play basketball and the fans don't matter. But in reality, the fans are all that matter. If it wasn't for them, the NBA players would just be incredibly tall accountants, teachers, or janitors.
The Harlem Globetrotters have brought so much joy to millions of people. I remember watching them on TV in the 70s and was always so happy when I learned they were going to be on the tube. Not only were they incredibly entertaining but their basketball skills were second to none. So glad to see they're still going strong.
I remember seeing them in the 70s-80s, they were great and you couldn't help but laugh at their antics, best ball players of all time. NBA is nothing compared to these guys talent.
first time i got to see them i was about 13 years old and i will never forget the boisterous fun loving energy that radiated in the stadium. i hope to bring my kids to see them one day and see what impact it may have on them
That slow mo smile and high five is gonna be a core memory in that child’s life and they will never understand why they remember it in slow motion. That’s next level trolling and appreciation for your supporters. I live for that.

I've been a fan of the globe trotters for about 53 yrs. They were my 1st favorite basketball team hands down. Got to see them with my Grampa back in the mid 70,s. Glad they're still around making people laugh and enjoy the game!
The Globetrotters are such a part of my childhood history! First introduced to them through early 70s cartoons and then watching their live performance clips that were televised back then and along the decades. Then my Son seeing them when he was little and was mesmerized by them! His love for basketball at 4 yrs old only heightened after that! 💛💜🏀
In 2003 or 2004, my family went to FL for vacation. While at the airport, I was wearing a dbz shirt, and the Harlem Globe Trotters were at the airport getting on a flight. I walked over with my mom and said hello. Many of them called me , "the little saiyan." We laughed, took pictures, and they all signed a ball for me. I still have that ball:) really cool experience. Very nice guys.
I got to see the original Harlem Globetrotters in Texas in the mid 70's when I was about 10. Those guys were awesome. I'm not a basketball fan, but that is something I will never forget.
The Harlem globetrotters are the best entertainers and you can tell how much they appreciate their fans and the chance to be part of the team. My brother and his teammates met Curly Neal on a plane once. He didn't hesitate to sign autographs for the whole team and give encouraging advice.
Got to see these guys as a kid and I think it was the most I enjoyed watching a sport in my entire life. I got a chance to speak with some of the players and they’re all really solid dudes :D
See that’s why the globetrotters are awesome. True ambassadors to the sport. When you are a little kid and they do all those cool things and are so good to their fans it makes you want to get into basketball for life.

They are amazing. I was able to take my son when he was about two years old to see the Harlem Globetrotters. I lost him seven years ago after a battle with kidney disease. But I always have that memory I'm taking him

My grandparents took all 10 of us grandkids to the Globetrotters in '70s during the Meadowlark Lemon & Curly Neal days... The baby highlight was similar to back then, but in '70s baby was brought on court in water bucket gag, then cuddled by all players from both teams & refs.
