      How can one find quality loose tea?

    • @thegreatchaos13
      @thegreatchaos13 Před rokem

      @@ketsiachoisie9377 Answer: JUST DON'T DO IT! Loose leaf tea is basically the same as the tea in bags, except in the bag, the leaves are ground up so they take less time to brew. It's probably bitter because this commenter brewed it for too long. 3 minutes max if you don't want bitter tea bags. Common sense. Loose leaf tea is also very messy, and not all tea bags are machine picked. Some of the higher quality ones handpick them. Not much difference except a bunch of loose tea leaves all over the table as you struggle to get the right amount into the teapot where you could have used a pre-portioned bag of tea. End of Story.

    • @trout3685
      @trout3685 Před rokem +2

      @The Great Chaos at what temperature? I've never had good tea from tea dust. It's always burnt bitter even if I steep exactly at the suppliers' recommendations. I think if you reduce heat and time drastically, then it might be okay, but it's probably pretty bland too.

    • @dffgffffffdddddddddd
      @dffgffffffdddddddddd Před rokem +7

      @@thegreatchaos13 However, loose leaf tea has far more variety available. The average quality is far higher than bagged tea. Bagged tea, especially the lower quality brands like Bigelow and Lipton, is usually fannings - tiny tea leaves and dust with little flavor (except bitter - bleh!). Loose leaf teas tend to have far more flavor - and even better, because you can control the amount of leaf, you can control the flavor much better!

    • @thegreatchaos13
      @thegreatchaos13 Před rokem

      @@trout3685 If you are using green tea, let the water cool down for a few minutes before adding. If you add the water while it is boiling, it will burn the tea.

    Either to brew tea in the Western manner or Chinese tea ceremony manner, should always first to rinse the pot and cups with warm water, then pour the tea leaves in for further brewing.

Then a hearty Scottish tea around 8am, at 10am a break for green or white tea, lunch at 1pm and maybe (hold your ears some iced tea) around 4pm green tea again maybe with Jasmine flowers another break & meditation then a light fruit tea before bed. I am a much happier soul Thank you.

    Just wanted to say thank you. I love tea but had no idea how to properly make it. Boiled water, tea bags, left the bag in the cup etc. Made my first cup of tea the traditional way and was impressed. The first thing my wife said was, "wow, this tastes way less bitter".

      IT'S BITTER BECAUSE YOU BREWED IT FOR TOO LONG!😡 THE REASON THERE ARE SPECIFIED BREWING TIMES ON TEABAG SETS IS BECAUSE IF YOU LEAVE THE TEA IN THERE FOR TOO LONG IT GOES BITTER!
