What advice and tips would you give to a newcomer to make it fair out of your region. Like not pounding miles on your service truck to put fillers out. where would you go to the start looking. I will soon be in that position. After years working in the shop fieldwork and the pipeline world. And selling everything I own just about to get that down payment. Service trucks are not cheap. Any little advice will help and keep me from insanity. My wife thinks I’m crazy I’m starting to wonder. But I’m taking a leap of faith and going for it.
I started with welding. That kept me busy. But gotta be willing to work on anything.
Forget the money and focus on making the best repair possible. Quality first.
Word of mouth and good connections to other people in the field got me going. It was slow and painfull at first.

I'm gonna take a wild guess, $8000 to do that job or way more? Field sucks that alone is 2k more seems.

All depends on area, demand, and remaining competitive with dealer pricing.
Im at $160hr at this time.
