The "M-Bahn" Maglev Train in Berlin | Promotional Film (1985)

This was it: The maglev system called "M-Bahn". It was not a tram nor a light rail vehicle. It was a completely new traffic system.
The M-Bahn (magnetic railway) was tested in Berlin from 1984 onwards. From 1989 to 1991 it was used in the public transportation.

More independence from private transport and pedestrians, also the route was following an older route from the Berlin Metro, and this section was elevated or suspended as well.

Leider hat man sich dafür entschieden den Fortschritt auszublenden und unmöglich zu machen und bleibt beim herkömmlichen Schienenverkehr

Kli Max ich denke die Asiaten würden das Maglev Konzept nicht nutzen wenn es nicht effektiv wäre. Hier hat der DB AG schienenverkehrs Lobbyismus nun mal durchgesetzt im Asiatischen Raum setzt man eher auf was effektiv und stromsparend ist zieht man vor vor allem wenn man das auch noch mit Solar und Windenergie paaren kann......
