Thanks for breaking down these techniques for solving quadratic equations! Question, do you have a video or know of a resource of turning word problems into equations? Math, in this case quadratics, feel not very useful unless applied in various real world examples.

Do you mean to find the x coordinate of the vertex when a quadratic is in the form ax^2+bx+c?
No you can use -b + or - sqrt^b squared - 4ac/2a
Photomath says that for the completing the square method, you have to divide both the second coefficient AND the constant (after it’s been flipped to the other side) but your method shows you only divide the coefficient. Explain?
I’m a bit late. However you only divide everything by the coefficient of The first x if the coefficient is greater than one. So for example if you had 3x^2 + 6x + 18 =0 you’d divide everything including the constant by 3 by factoring out the three and then you’d just divide the middle coefficient by two and square it and proceed. He didn’t go over slightly trickier quadratics. It depends on your equation really
I’ve come to enjoy solving quadratics. But What I’d like to know is what we tell students why this knowledge is important for their math learning. What RL applications would this math used?
