ASMR, the acronym doesn't matter so let's just relax. Whatever your reason for being here, whether by accident or on purpose, welcome.
Wearing headphones, earbuds, or just playing from the speakers on your phone? Don't be afraid to experiment with the listening experience! Typically you can find me in three situations when accessing ASMR content. To stay focused while blocking out the noise, I'll wear over-ear headphones at a low volume. The carefully constructed ambiance is a welcomed blessing in this busy world, helping me get the work done. Now listen... come close... if it's the spine tickling, brain buzzing, full-body tingle effect we're after, I'm reaching for the earbuds every time. They're small and fit inside the ear, making it easy to cozy up in bed, blissfully mixing into the sounds now bouncing around my head. Lately for casual listening, I've been playing the sounds straight from the phone's built-in speaker. It's a realistic and cozy effect laying in bed with nothing in my ears and just the sound coming from the speakers. If you have surround sound speakers in your bedroom, you're on another level and don't need my advice. From super high-quality assortments or low-fi sounds that bring you into the space, it's good to see you, glad to have you here and hope you enjoy. - Zábava

not to overshare in the comments but i got broken up with a couple nights ago, and while i’m fairing okay, trying to get to sleep has been really hard. its easier for the thoughts to get in when its still and quiet. thanks for the ear comfort and brain relief. here’s to another nights sleep and another day of growing. no endings, just new beginnings or whatever they say.
you’ve got this!! i know this shit is hard, but after some time you come out of it as a stronger person. i don’t know your situation but in my case, focusing extra on myself and just being with friends and family worked wonders. stay strong!!
also however world-ending it might feel, it always gets better, always.
i know its almost comical but when i went through something like that being outside really helped. if the heat gets to you, a handheld fan is really helpful, it's nice to lose yourself in something like nature or a hobby (or you could take your hobby out with you and do it in nature, like sketching or journalling). it gets better, sending all my love

I am so sorry about your situation. Breakups can be the absolute worst. Just to relate a bit, I got broken up with the month before our 4 year anniversary back in October 2023, and I genuinely did not think I was going to make it past that. 6 months later and I'm taking it a day at a time and managing the best I can. It may seem like it's the end of the world, but I can assure you it's not. You will learn and heal and grow and you WILL come back from this. You're doing your best and that's just fine.
