The problem with mega con is that everything is so inflated, parking, entrance, fees, and as you showed us crisis of the books. I do not see how one could actually shop for books and get a good deal.

The wildly inflated prices from most of the boths last year turned me off Megacon. It’s already is expensive to get into the event to then have to pay inflated prices once inside was not worth it for me especially when I’m more concerned with just comics and not celebrities.
How much was the entrance fee?
You guys are so lucky to have an awesome con to go to. I haven’t been to one yet but I’m very excited to go to one in the future
That one booth was out of control with their prices. I have a bunch of those books. I'd think about selling them if I could get that kind of money.

Totally agree that going on a Thursday rocks due to lower attendance but stinks because of higher prices. However, one of the best deals I ever got at a major con was on a Thursday on a book that was mis-marked (vendor honored the wrong price).
or you see something bonafide super rare on thursday and buy it as you know by the weekend itll be gone

Lol yeah I didn't do most of my shopping until Sunday, first time going to Megacon. A lot of the booths were still crazy but luckily there were a few that weren't and was able to get a good amount of books. Looks like you talked to some in this video too :D

Went to fan expo Toronto last year very high prices. Bought Avengers annual #3 $260,00 got $100.00 off, got submariner #44;Avengers #81;#89.

Ughh that parking situation this year 🤦♂ Definitely lots of vendors with crazy high prices as expected, but I managed to find a few with reasonable prices. That's where I did most of my digging and found a few deals. Fun show overall though.
Is it like San Diego comic con? Do they charge so much at the door that you dont have any left to spend inside the con?

SuckerCon.. go to local comic shows.. you've been to one con.. you have literally gone to them all... I heard 650 for that Harley book and almost shit.. for that amount, you could own an original Harley cel from the animated series..

Love going to comic-cons and since i work with alot of the vendors with cleaning.pressing books. im able to get in the day before and early morning with the vendoers. so im able to make deals and look over the booths to find a few good thigns and make some deals.
That being said the one guy who mentioned he sold his entire lot of books to 1 guy while its great from and $$ stand point. Its bad from a business side, cause now you arent able to make new contacts and create repeat customers. Since you just got bought out by 1 guy and i know vendors who actually wont let 1 person buy their entire inventory at a con. Cause while they will make money, they loose out on potential new customers and future contacts that could lead to other collections for them to buy.
