- Hey Comic Fans! Check out Part 2 of my awesome day of comic hunting with my friend Ricky from @AllSortsofWords! In this video we stumble upon an amazing find: an LCS with dozens of long boxes FULL of unsorted and unpriced comic books! We dug for hours and found tons of untouched comic book GOLD! Even better? The incredible discount the store gave us at the end!

Been going for years to this place and still haven’t gone through everything . Constantly finding stuff. Keeps me coming back.

You and Ricky were able to do my dream. See all those raw comics... the discoveries! I would organize that collection for free to be able to flip through it.
Worked retail in high school and college. If I had a nickel for every time somebody said, "There's no price on it; it must be free" and then laugh, ... And I would have to smile and laugh like it was the first time I'd ever heard that joke. Fantastic haul!
Wow what a great deal on awesome books! Digging through those unknown boxes looked like so much fun and you guys got some great stuff out of it!!!

Agreed World of Wood 2 cover is a classic! Such a Great cover - did you check out the BACK cover! I'm looking for a 2nd copy to display both ways...
Eclipse's World Of Wood is a great miniseries topped off by some beautiful Dave Stevens covers; it was my first real introduction to Wood's genius.
Once the speculators go away, I hope Stevens' work continues to be appreciated by discerning fans of the medium.
I used the cover for the second World Of Wood issue you show as the cover for a compilation of SF short stories for my senior English students; it included a few Bradbury stories, one each by Henry Kuttner, Ben Bova and Joe Haldeman and of course two Wood reprints from his EC days.
It's a buyer's market out there...Especially east coast..
You guys going through all those boxes was such a thrill to watch. Reminds me of going through long boxes as a kid in the 90s and just discovering titles I never heard of. Awesome video and its great to see that Spectacular Spider-Man love!

Great finds Mike. I've only been there twice. Usually find some good stuff. I never asked to loom through their unsorted books because That's E in Worcester never lets you. Lol. Smaller sister store was probably like sure we can use the free labor. Lol. 👊🏼

Mike , I WISH I had some of your luck !!!, what an amazing haul !! I always pick up X-factor 88, which is the 1st appearance of Random, He is such a cool character and who knows, maybe some day he will appear in a MCU movie. Now moving on to the 1st appearance of Nathan Richards ..... I picked up every issue I could find going back 30 years ago. Let me explain , his name is Nathan , he is a time traveler, he has a bionic arm, and a bionic eye, AND he looks just like CABLE. I kept waiting and waiting for Marvel to announce that he actually WAS Cable, but I guess I will keep waiting lol. I was spec'n long before spec'n was a thing. Anyway, another amazing video Mike, LOVE your content and more importantly I love your personality. Keep hunting !!!

I think I've been in there! I love the hunt, I just wish I knew better what I was looking for. Looked like a ton of fun. What I love is your enthusiasm of finds that are not necessarily huge money but just stuff you love.
That Thor 169 is a Galactus origin issue. I’ve always loved that cover!
That Jim Lee Cap/wolvie/black widow cover is one of my all time faves

What an amazing haul of books! That must've been an incredible experience digging through the unsorted boxes to find so many keys. Kudos to the people at That’s Entertainment for recognizing your hard work and discounting those books accordingly. I would definitely visit their stores if I'm ever in the area. Great haul for a Benjamin (Franklin, not Grimm). Nice variety of books, but love the Avengers Annual 10 pick-up.
That's an incredible haul! What I enjoyed most was the joy both you and Ricky had digging through boxes, passing stacks of books over to each other, and riffing off of one another while you searched. Thanks for sharing!

Really enjoyed the last two episodes, I would so excited to go through those boxes. I would have to sit down for a while and collect my thoughts,then go crazy searching through the boxes. So many great books hiding in those boxes - who knows what else is in there?!? There's no way I would have been able to pass on that Jungle Comics 1-3 that you showed at the beginning of the visit. Awesome that they pulled out those World of Wood 1 & 2, and the prices were even better!

Okay... a few of things. I wanted to congratulate you on your obtaining the full run of Excalibur! It should be a really fun read (a few ruff parts but otherwise solid).
Make sure you have all 125 issues. The Flashback issue. The 5 specials. The 2 Annuals. and the 4 part (Age of Apocalypse) X-Calibre (and if you are die hard you need to grab the Pryde and Wisdom 3 part story.
2ndly - No need to apologize for the first (or second) Wolverine appearance or the Giant Sized X-Men or even finding X-men #1. Those were your unobtainables that you were able to find and you shared that with the community!
3rd (a question) - Do you also have an X-men/Uncanny X-men collected editions somewhere and how far have you gotten into that run(s), or do you still prefer the single comic format?
4th ( a statement) - After having watched the last two-parter (above video) with Ricky I was curious and I went over to his channel. You weren't kidding about him hitting you with some surprisingly honest moments. He won me over, I subscribed to his channel as well and will be watching as i continue the long track through sorting and cataloging my ever fluctuating collection.

Yup, I can confirm I have the entire Excalibur volume 1. I do have many collected X-Men TPBs and even digital, but trades are actually how I prefer to read them. And yes, Ricky is great, if it's not clear from his videos he's actually a pretty extraordinary guy and I'm happy to call him a friend!
I had no idea there were TWO That’s Entertainment shops! I’ve been to the one in Worcester a few times. Got to check this one out now. Also, I checked out a Magicgeeks whatnot… and blew my budget! Thanks for the heads up about them!

The larger That's E Worcester store is undergoing a renovation. I'd be curious if a ton of those unsorted long boxes made it over to the Fitchburg store. Nice finds!

Hi Mike. I’ve been looking forward to this one since you teased it last week. Some great pick ups there. I only just discovered a Dave Steven’s cover the other day it’s Image Comics Dv8 #1 pride cover. Everything on the outside of the mirror is Dave Steven’s but the reflection is Adam Hughes work ! You probably know about it but just in case. 😁

Those spectacular Spider-Man’s I’ve been searching for in the wild forever! That’s a turkey as far as comic books! Rick and Morty’s are relatively low print runs so might be worth buying cheap for good trades

I've read the Mexican version of Spidey just for the Gwen lives happy angle. Knowing continuity as we all do... it's BIZARRE!!! It's still a pretty good run,but ya miss MJ before you get very far.
aw man would totally have picked up that Naussica Miyazaki series run, thats hard to find and absolutely stunning!!! also would have grabbed those Appleseeds you came across early on

In my last video I had a comic that featured wally wood and jack kirby's art work. Sky masters of the space force number 1 from 1991. The book had a A short biography of the creators and examples of their artwork. It was also an oversized book.
And it wasn't very expensive where I got it. This might be something you would like to get or your viewers.

Question: why is everyone liking Dave Stevens at the same exact time? I’ve been collecting them from dollar bins for years and now I’m suddenly having a hard time. Is it really a fandom? Or is there something fishy going on?😊
I honestly don’t know, I just finished editing a video where I ask the same question. I went to a comic show and EVERYBODY was selling and buying them.
The documentary on Amazon, Drawn to Perfection I believe is causing a lot of hype, also CZcams channels such as Lunch money comics and comic Tom have been bringing in a lot of new eyes on his art and people are really over paying for the books which is bringing more books to the surface with crazy asking prices.
