      @@easonadventures Thank you! Any time we have an east wind, this spot gets rough. Good luck fishing next month. It's a great time to striper fish

    🔥 🔥 🔥 video!! Any tips on how to fish nubble for a beginner striper fisher? What bait? What line strength? What tide/conditions/time of year? How long will it take to hook one? Thanks!

      Fishing Nubble, I would use at least 40lb braid because it is very abrasion resistant on the rocks. I love to line chunk mackerel or through lures that look like mackerel such as the SP Minnow

    Great video. I’m going up to Maine for vacation in a month, but I’m going further up the coast. If you’ve ever done any coastal fishing up north, do you have any tips or information?

    • @outdooradventureswithjusti3627
      @outdooradventureswithjusti3627  Před 5 lety +1

      How far are you going up the coast? There will be stripers along the entire coast but try to locate river mouths and rocky points. Basically wherever there would be baitfish there will be stripers. I love using chunk mackerel or sea clams but also casting Sluggos and SP Minnows work great as an alternative to bait

    Nice fish it's easier to set drag loose then when they run grab spool and pull easier then keeping bail open and it alerts you with the sound of drag pulling you can even set rod down with loose drag just a easier way then keeping hand on spool and flipping bail

    I’m assuming you can’t use weights when chunking off the rocks cuz your line will rub on the rocks right? Also what’s your favorite ride for chunking off the rocks?

      I like to not use weight so the bait naturally sinks. Seems to get more strikes. Any rod with plenty of backbone works but I do like using a bait runner reel

      I am very fortunate to be able to fish in this spot as friends of mine own a house there but it is private property as most of the houses in Cape Neddick are and residents are very strict with the No Trespassing rules. Just down the street is Nubble lighthouse that also has great fishing and is open to the public

    I plan on being at the Cliff house this summer... Do you know if they allow guests to fish the rocks? Also, do you think there would be any stripers in mid-august?

    • @outdooradventureswithjusti3627
      @outdooradventureswithjusti3627  Před 4 lety

      I am not sure of their fishing policies under the new ownership. There will be plenty of stripers here in August though. I am a fishing guide here in Maine and could always help you catch a few off shore or by boat. Www.fishingmainewithjustin.com
