Likewise. I think the concept of mixing and matching weapons is to make up for the lack of playable characters. In other words mixing two weapons with a character of a particular ability.

I really hope this game gets really popular like Splatoon, and I also hope they really do add Little Mac in as a secret bonus character or as dlc. Little Mac could easily fit in this game with the rest of the cast.
He'll probably be relegated to a DLC costume.

Von Ithipathachai it would kinda be a let down if he was just a skin, but a lot of people do really want Little Mac in this game, he could have a chance to be playable. Danny Alvarez or make his arms wireframed, that would be even better.

Definitely, it's about time Nintendo found a place for their old, classic characters.
Alternatively, the Arms crew might be fine additions to Smash Bros.

I really think this game is going to be a huge sleeper hit (pun intended) for a lot of people. Not many people are talking about it, but it looks like the perfect mix of casual level entry and competitive nature! I can't wait to play it. :D
There are at least 3 unconfirmed weapons: the dolphin boat thing, the jet looking glove with the missiles, and the party popper hand Spring Girl has during the Sparky segment.

Dave Lee it's May. If it was coming out before Mario Kart they would have given a date. So unless it's early June which is technically spring I guess then it's May.

ARMS looks awesome. Everyone should purchase ARMS. Hopefully Nintendo can release a playable demo of the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop soon so we can try it out before it launches.

the revolver and the boomerang would be a good combo, because when you shoot them with the revolver and they deflect it, you can use the boomerang to hit them while they are distracted by the revolver.

Aaronnoraator I did call a Nintendo Direct before the Switch's release (Er, sort of...If you called the Nindies stream a direct). I predict a direct possibly next month or May.

Would have been nice if we had a Direct in March like we did last year, but I guess the Switch launch is going to ensure that we got nothing for now.
Honestly if I had to guess, we will probably get one Mid to late April since we do need to get some small details of what to expect for the Spring lineup for the Switch and 3DS alongside with building up hype for June for E3.
Main thing I'd say is that one of two things will happen: We're going to get a direct that covers Nintendo in general, or we're going to get a "ARMS Direct" that will cover the basics of ARMS, modes, and possible new characters.
I like that they are adding layers to make it a competitive game for those who want to play based on skill and wit.
That was really cool. The competitive side of me is itching to figure out what kind of combos you can do with these.
When they were swapping among the arms around on the left and right hands, they showed a torpedo one that they didn't talk about in the video. And I'm fairly certain they said that those 5 will not be the only playable characters in the game. Although I'm not exactly expecting a lot more, this doesn't seem to be it for either of those categories.
This game is looking more and more unique
These are the unsaid weapons names and abilities.
Ribbon girls party popper gloves: Popper, ability: knocks opponents into the air.
The Dolphin missile thing: Homie, ability: Homes in on targets (hence the name)
The three missile hand thing: Trident, ability: shoots 3 spikes out at the same time (unlike revolver)
Ninjaras spinny circle gloves: Chakram, ability: Double damage

The Slappamander has a re-color of Black & Orange, while the real one had Orange & Black.

I've got a strategy: megaton + sparky: charge megaton and reflect opponents attack. With a charged sparky, immediately punch your opponent. While they're shocked, use your opening to grab them and get crazy damage.

As a side note. Any one of these characters would be a great to have in smash. A boxer with good recovery

Okay:
1) Given that they didn't cover two of the arms,(the trident and missile things, forgot the name) I'm hoping we having something like the Freezer, a cool armament that when charged causes your opponent to chill out and become slower.
2) So ARMS is REACHING us in SPRING 2017?
Glove ideas
Tornado Glove:Quick punch but not much damage, when charged it will catch enemies in a tornado giving you 3 seconds to lay in damage
Stormy glove:Not too fast but when charged and lands sucsesfully it causes a small storm cloud that slows down enemy attacks and shocks them doing a small ammount of damage and stopping enemy attacks
Cloak glove:Regular gloves but when charged it turns you invisible for 4 seconds and you'll be visible if you decide to punch.
It's coming in Spring, Man.

This game LOOKS AMAZING. I wishing for 6 more fighters and DLC Skins (yes I said it). Looks like another Splatoon surprise success!!!
Hopefully this game will stay fun for a long time, and won't get boring after a few weeks.
It would be cool if Ristar ends up being a DLC. Like a cool little sega representative. Werehog sonic would be a good choice too but I feel Ristar deserves it more.

At south by southwest I got to try the game it is worth it for fun with a friend idk if there is single player campaign but for 2 players it is very very fun.
