- Short video on replacing your BCM. My issue with it was that it got wet with the sunroof drain got clogged. We all experiencing this issue and going through the car wash. All the water went in to the interior and the BCM got wet while the car was on. Once I turned it off. It wouldn’t start until a while later on in the night I was told that brake light was on and after trying to figure it out I just cut the brake light wire your other lights will work fine. It’s just when you break the light would not shine brighter. after replacing it and re-programming the CBM and reconnecting the wire everything is working perfectly !!

You indicated that you liked the used BCM through Ebay, but then had to have a programmer come out and program it for your H3. What are your thoughts on an internet site that sells the BCM (ECM) pre-programed for your specific VIN? The site shows $190.00 We just had our Hummer in the shop (dealership where purchased new in 2008) to replace the FOB (and some other work) and they say that there was water damage to the ECM and it needs replaced. However they will not touch it unless its a new OEM part, and apparently there are no existing anywhere in GM or their dealers anymore, so I'm tempted to get a local mechanic to do the project, but kind of wanted some idea what people thought of the pre-programed ECMs for a 2008 H3. Thanks for your video.
$190 for a BCM program to your vin is actually pretty good. The only negative would be, if it’s a credible seller? I don’t recommend buying a used one if they don’t have an easy exchange or refund because these vehicles came with two different BCM‘s and a lot of the places cannot match the Vin to the BCM you need. This is the reason I go with Amazon returns or hassle free but the BCM’s are open to either Vin number so you shouldn’t have no problem programming it. I wouldn’t pay more than 200 to get it programmed and the key fob from a mechanic. In Amazon they have both BCM and ECM from AC Delco

This is the BCM that I’m pulling out. The BCM is programmed to the brake lights. Is this what you were asking??
